Another Katusa Video

The past two of these that I've posted have been well received. So, here's another.

This comes from https://www.futuremoneytrends.com. It's another interview of Marin Katusa of Casey Research. Once again, they discuss the miners and a few of the same specific ones that they like. But they also go into gold as "insurance" and whether or not it's wise to have a significant portion of your assets on physical metal.

I hope you find it helpful.

Writ of Mandamus

A friend of mine asked me last night, why doesn't somebody file a Writ of Mandamus on the CFTC commanding them to do their job and publish the results of their investigation?

That is a very prescient question. I don't know.

Lawyers anyone? writ of mandamus - an extraordinary writ commanding an official to perform a ministerial act that the law recognizes as an absolute duty and not a matter for the official's discretion; used only when all other judicial remedies fail

Good to see you around, ScottJ

The YT link seems to be dead -- can you give a hint as to what it was?

Edit: nevermind, got it -- quite a few versions/copies posted here.

Wisdom of buying miners as a stacker?

I have consistently debated adding some miners but can never decide which, when or how much. I'm really just a stacker, with a moderate stack, a moderate bank account with a secure bank, and a brokerage account which has stayed near zero for a while. When I hear interviews such as this and hear promising commentary on a junior miner, I'm always tempted to take $500 or so and give it a shot. I know, with only $500, its more like a gamble than an investment... but that's what I'd be working with. The problem is that the few times I've done this with any stocks, it hasn't turned out well.

Am I better off just adding that 500 to my stack? Or should I give one of these companies a shot? (doing my own due diligence of course).

your opinion is appreciated

Gents and girls,

your opinion is highly appreciated as i keep pondering the following question and cannot come with an answer.

If we are expecting a global collapse, what would happen to the mining shares and shares in general? will all of these assets disappear like Bix is defending, will they still exist in a different currency, sky rocketing in USD, CAD or EUR or will we not see a collapse?

how much time will there be between booming miners and the final blow?

Many thanks

-A

My opinion

In my opinion... and I am not qualified at all... it appears that this whole process is being drawn out longer than anyone thought possible. That's the only reason that I'm considering some miners, or really, any paper plays. I've even been stacking FRN's lately because I don't ever want to be forced to sell the stack at prolonged low prices. If we truly have as much time as I'm beginning to feel that we do, then I could make a few good trades on miners over the next few years and occasionally divert some of those profits to my stack.

Maybe I am being fooled by the fact that I've grown tired of hearing that the sky is falling for the past five years. I don't know. But I have re-evaulated my thoughts based on the fact that after waiting on "the event" every week for so long, we still seem to be in this stagnant recession without great new prosperity nor total collapse. This thought has led me to entertain thoughts of other approaches with my finances in the mean time.

I AM certain of world changing, history making events to come; I just don't know when. I am certain that I will see it in my lifetime, considering that I should be here another 50+ years barring anything unfortunate. But only stacking for the next 5, 10, 20 years if it takes that long, won't be the most successful strategy in the long run.

$0 gold/silver

That would certainly be a buy for me. Skeptical I could get anything to buy at that price but I'd certainly try. I would say many metal sellers are currently working on JIT style sells. I suspect old inventory is mostly gone and they are mostly going month to month(ish). A significant price pressure on physical would start to see obvious delays. Once there are obvious delays premiums probably start to get higher and higher, especially if the market gets rather volatile.

Sometimes I wonder if the dead calm in silver is to prevent premiums from getting crazy in physical so that the bronco doesn't start bucking.
