Constitutional Deception

Thu, Jun 28, 2012 - 11:50am

Article 1. Section 7. Congress shall make any law it pleases, regardless of whether the citizens were lied to, deceived or otherwise misled into supporting its passage.

George and Obama debate health care taxes

The metals are, of course, up against it this morning. If you haven't yet read this ( or this (, please do so immediately. It is looking increasingly likely that the triple bottom in silver will soon fail. IF stops below 26.25 are tripped (maybe on The Globex this afternoon), silver may rapidly descend toward 25 and then continue, over the next couple of weeks, down toward 22 in a final washout move. Please be prepared for this and do not panic if it happens.

Gold is still in its 1530-1630 range but it is, of course, subject to a breakdown, too. Be vigilant.

Hang in there and don't be surprised by anything.

New fork, looks good. Support around 27.06 then maybe 26.76, resistance around 27.50 then 27.95.

Isn't it surprising that we don't see any of the people who came out yesterday preening about how the PM's were down out today?

Just saying.

SWIFT / Time

I was looking around for some SWIFT news last night (posted about it around 10 pm last night) and I didn't really find anything that had a solid June 28th or 29th date attached to it signifying anything drastic on those days except for the Iran oil embargo that's been watered down.

I'm going to keep looking today also. What I did come across is what seemed like a bunch of small news incidents abroad (MENA) involving bombings, troop equipment movements and some diplomatic moves that point more towards an underlying common thread that revolve around Iran/Syria for the most part. No surprise there.

So even if we are not hearing about SWIFT and anything obvious taking place or having an effect, something is clearly going on in many area's right around there that I think are telling and seem to be the small episodes of escalation and 'incidents' of sabotage etc. that you might expect if you were thinking along those lines. Pre-war sneaky stuff. Spy on Spy and bigger then that probably.

Just my sense of it right now. The article the other day about Russia agreeing to let Assad be replaced didn't smell right and I didn't think they would relent in that manner. They've so far reneged or backed away from that reported initial stance and it probably was a diplomatic stall.

Time will tell.

Ag Manip

Seeing that the dollar index busted through its monthly support line (down), it appears that the opposing move in silver is about a dollar behind. I'll suggest that this is ALL due to the heavy hand and large behind of Summers etal sitting on the price. The laws of economics, as sloppy as they are, cannot be contained. Wouldn't surprise me if the troll hunters took Ag up a cupla bucks soon. Even I, unrepentant permabull that I am, am impressed with todays move..

I was explaining to a friend yesterday that it seems absurd that anyone would think that manipulation of markets is absurd. Take Barclays admission and fine in LIBOR. Read Summers Gibsons Paradox. Look at the FB IPO. We have moved beyond speculation to admission and a mountain of evidence. The only folks wearing tin foil hats are the manipulation deniers.....Everyone else simply has decent vision and an IQ above 100.

Given that, what are you going to do?

Rep. Jan Schakowsky: Sure, Doctors Should be Unionized

June 28, 2012 By Lonely Conservative 2 comments

Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) was asked if she believes doctors should be unionized. She replied that she’s all for it, and while she doesn’t recommending that they go on strike that a physician strike in Israel worked out great.

@ IS7, @ DMH

IS7 - I posted late last night about China and Singapore getting exempted and was looking today to compile a post of who's left that is actually affected by the sanction. I believe 20 countries have been exempted in total. Also - I believe I read that sanctions actually start on 1 July.

DMH - Good article. I will send that to my vet friends.

No PM haters on the board today. Yes, very conspicuous. Also no TF bashers. Gee.

Dr. G - come back to us, it will go down again, no one saw this move happening. I agree with your sale as I expected prices to get reamed today.

Price up /Price down

There's no point in getting excited about the Silver price recovery just yet, it's still in the long down trend channel from April 2011, and needs to break through the 28.80-29.10 level to show any chance of a reversal. Until then the Cartels just playing with us IMHO. Keep stacking slowly and surely, gift it to your kids, then they'll hopefully come out on top. Paper trading is just a time consuming, rigged, casino game of fun, if you try to take it seriously this can happen.

Absolutely. Absolutely! If it happens in August or next week than everything changes. All the calls, predictions and charts for more down in the metals get thrown out as we move into a new playing field!

Jun 29, 2012 - 10:56am

good day!

today is good!

I managed to order 150 silver maples for 24,73€ each.

including shipping AND 7% VAT.

10 minutes after my order, the price went up by 0,75€ per maple.

disclaimer: these are paid with funds that otherwise would just idly sit in a bank account, gathering digital dust.

Exempted countries:

"A US official said that the administration has exempted all “significant” buyers of Iranian oil. The exemptions are for a renewable 180-day period."

(India, Malaysia, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Taiwan, China, Singapore, Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom)

NON Exempted:

Pakistan and Afghanistan. "The countries will not face sanctions as a whole, but their financial institutions will now be subject to bans in the United States if determined that they have dealt with Iran’s central bank to arrange the purchase of oil."

--Exemptions will be reviewed roughly Dec 27.

Reading the discussions there were several misunderstandings

I made the analogy of Yugos to Cadillacs to compare a low-cost mediocre healthcare system to a similar costing but much higher quality healthcare system. In fact, efficient free-market systems cost less than state-controlled or insurance company controlled systems. And allow consumers to spend money on what the healthcare they personally value and want. Not what the state says they must have or cannot have.

Personally, I drive a salvaged 2010 Toyota Tacoma I restored (great vehicle), fully paid. The spare fiat (former car payment) goes into preps and precious metals. Though I do lust after a new Porsche Boxster. Possibly on the other side of the experiment.

The vast majority of 'disabled' you talk about, as @stephanie mentioned, do have skills and contributions. I think you undervalue the concept that personal achievement is a route to personal happiness, even for a disabled person. In additional to providing something to society.

I'm sorry your view the world as exploiters and the exploited. I suppose I exploit my plumber when I pay him less than whatever you or a politician thinks he should be paid. Does he exploit me when he charges me over $100 per hour for weekend calls?

You may be surprised to find out that in the U.S. even (especially) before the giant managed care organizations and the giant government bureacracies, the poor and disadvantaged were given free care by healthcare providers and communities. They still do get free care (they commonly don't pay bills- by inability or poor values), though market distortions have made it much harder and almost impossible to provide this free care. Before you indict the whole capitalist system, you also might want to appreciate and check out the many medical groups that give millions upon millions of dollars of free care to patients around the world- World Vision, Operation Smile, and the International Red Cross as examples. These are all possible because of the resources provided by wealth creation by capitalist systems. You can't share what you don't have.

I appreciate your long post, and you're spot on about the fascist problems in America, wrong about American motivations and culture. Unfortunately you seem to advocating replacing a large corrupt system (fascism) with a large corrupt system (socialism/ communism). I'm for the liberty-embracing, personal responsibility, small, simple, limited system.

A free-market simpler alternative to Obamacare disaster:

States reassert sovereignty

Why is it that people are so afraid of States leaving the Union if need be. And if the national guard come.....let some point people are going to having to realize numbers. IE 80 million gun owners vs 2000 AFT agents. Will any politician go send in troosp on a state and force people to do what again????? What if more than one state getting together with another and form a group? Do the Feds have the numbers?? For what again??
