Turd on Time Monk Radio

44
Tue, Nov 1, 2011 - 3:57pm

For some unknown reason, the nice people at the WebbotForum wanted to interview me again. Recorded last Friday evening, the links are presented below.

It's about 2 hours long but it's broken up into 8, 15-minute segments. I don't know if I can stand to listen to the entire thing so I'd appreciate feedback from anyone masochistic enough to suffer through it. Hopefully, at least parts of it are worth your time. TF

The problems over in the EU are fixed until they're not. Childish.

Be Prepared · Nov 1, 2011 - 5:01pm

I'm glad that you are getting the opportunity to spread the word and your wisdom to a larger audience.

Jdawg · Nov 1, 2011 - 5:26pm

Get your exit plan ready. When the EU goes, the US will do so within two weeks.

JackPutter · Nov 1, 2011 - 5:32pm

**Edit** Caution to religiously minded.

But this crap could get me there;

Strongsidejedi · Nov 1, 2011 - 5:34pm

@JDAWG- why would the EU be failing in the next year?

They are already pushing cans down the road.
What's different about the can pushing this year versus next?

Throwing Sliver Hammers · Nov 1, 2011 - 5:48pm

I always enjoy your take.

@JackPutter

Cliff High rightly signals that religion has been abused by power hungry despots and repulsive pedophiles. This however does not justify any logical conclusion about the existence of God. Neither God's existence nor his non-existence can be proven. For me the existence of God is very likely, yet I attempt not to prove it for someone else. I accept the free will of each individual to make up his or her own mind about this issue. I do believe that that was part of the way the Creator designed the universe. Our freedom lies mainly in being able to choose freely what we believe and/or what we hold to be true...

Religion can be seen as the power structure on earth that can be abused. Spirituality is how we deal with apparent injustice, connecting with God through our personal convictions and practices.

Just my 0.02...

JackPutter · Nov 1, 2011 - 7:11pm

The interview is going fantastic Turd. Thanks very much for posting it.

 I think the Bernanke sees the writing on the wall. Headline here about "weaning" the markets from QE;

https://www.cnbc.com/id/45111348

I personally am working toward a reduction in debt, and if the Bernanke thinks I want to go buy a 48" flatscreen, new car, (Maybe an all electric or hybrid), or anything other than that $6.00 milk, then he's flipping nuts. They can try and come up with the super-duper-controlled FIAT if they want.

The problem is who will be watching the watchers? If this system was gamed, who's to say the next system isn't going to get gamed? All FIAT needs CONFIDENCE.

I agree whole heartedly that when the 26.6% goes to a critical mass of 44% it will because of a loss of confidence. (I just picked a number and there's nothing to base it on. Maybe a social engineering student could come up with the right number.)

As a matter of fact, is there a number of people in a population that it takes to keep a fiat afloat?

I'm enjoying the interview immensly.

What is good for gold (QE) is also good for general equities so be careful on those that see doom everywhere."

1. JPM may be panicking, the latest move shows their hand; corzine has blown their $'s JPM can only go after the assets :-)

2. Are the EU banks buying PM's with their EU's? I would if I was them, what are the options? USD? JPY? GBP? as risky as the EU.

3. Gold opening strong in Asia, when they start to panic buy we will know overnight

could go either way, war is on, stay safe

https://www.silverbearcafe.com/private/10.11/sprott.html

  • The US Mint sells about the same dollar amount of gold and silver coins, which means it sells 50 ounces of silver for every ounce of gold. It's more or less the same story at GoldMoney and Sprott Money.
  • Ten times more silver than gold is produced each year, and the ratio in the earth's crust is 15:1, so how can the price be 50:1? Expect a return to the historical norm of 15:1, which implies that silver will outperform gold.
  • The demand/supply picture has seen a 380 million ounce per year positive swing - in a 900 million ounce market. Where is the silver coming from?
  • The paper silver markets trade a billion ounces a day and the world only produces 900 million in a year. The amount available for settlement of these futures contracts is something like 1.5 million ounces, ludicrously little compared to the amount of paper.
  • "On the physical side I'm seeing only buyers."
  • "There are a lot more people who can afford a one-ounce silver coin than an ounce of gold."
  • Gold will be a reserve currency and silver will also play a role.
  • "We tried to buy 15 million ounces of silver and had to wait three months - and some of the silver we got was manufactured after we ordered. So there's not a lot of silver sitting on shelves waiting for people to buy it."
  • "Somewhere along the line some manufacturer will say 'I can't get the silver I want' and the jig's up."
  • People will prefer gold and silver to having money in a bank where there's tremendous counterparty risk. Three months ago Dexia was considered to be the best capitalized European bank and now they've been nationalized.
  • "You go to some of the biggest names who own gold and ask them about silver and a lot of them haven't even looked at it."
  • Central banks are selling gold surreptitiously.
  • "It's shocking how undervalued the junior miners are…Gold and silver stocks are growth stocks. They all have a plan to increase production dramatically. Small miners can start a new mine and double in size…The relative value of gold stocks will become apparent with time…The breakout, when it comes, will be very sudden."

Did you catch the names of those books by the russian author that cliff was talking about? "History-something"

Pushing the can down the road is no longer an option. The writing is on the wall. These preliminary indicators clearly the fall is near. This is not rocket science, but all indications are here for the final blow.

JackPutter · Nov 1, 2011 - 10:23pm

This is an alert that went out to Rense.com from Clif High for this period of time.;

Ok, I watched the entire series! Fabulous! Clear, concise and very informative! Great job Turd! I thoroughly enjoyed hearing your insights. And holy cow, with as long as some of those questions were, I would forget them too! A bunch of hat tips! yes

Fun interview Turd. Thanks for that as always.

Now then, today, I stumbled across this https://www.silver-investor.com/charlessavoie/cs_august08_Rothschilds&Si... as result of following through some links from J. Comisky's YT MF Global final post, so maybe it was just destiny or just more nonsense.

I have no idea where to post this here as it covers silver and gold, comex, throw in some history and some details about groups, banks, wealthy families, you name it.

Anyway, there it is for your perusal.

With Greece on the brink of default and tons of uncertainty, I'm surprised that Gold and Silver have remained pretty flat, even going down today. Weren't precious metals supposed to skyrocket when this happened? Dollar is rising and precious metals are following the market, which is extremely bearish. I wouldn't be surprised to see Silver visiting the 20's soon.

TheGoodDoctor · Nov 2, 2011 - 1:18am

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone had a link to that Sprott video from last month that was approximately 27 to 30 minutes long? I tried searching for it but came up empty. Thanks in advance.
