Getting Worn Out

Fri, Oct 7, 2011 - 9:39am

I'm glad we have this new site and I'm thrilled that so many are enjoying it and learning from it. This site is about and for you, not me. But frankly, I'm getting a little worn out.

Here are your charts. I'll be out the rest of the day at a fundraiser for an acquaintance who died from cancer last year at the age of 42. Have a great day. Live your life with joy. TF

The constant attacks

The constant attacks on the price of silver have probably worn us all down a little. I'm as happy as anyone that the price hasn't been falling for a few days but it's hard to be super pumped about reclaiming 32 when not long ago it was 42 we were talking about.

Gold's looking good.

Gold's looking good.

Oct 7, 2011 - 9:50am

what if

we all took a break about thinking about the world and PMs for one week. No turd postings. everyone just go out and smell the fresh air. PMs will be hear when we get back in a week or two. everything will be the same or worse. in one year from now will be having similar conversations while nothing changes from the 'trend' perspective.

Balance in life is everything.

on blogs and nymphomania

I'm sure this is seeming almost like a 24-7 job for you-- without the monetary rewards. Running a blog like this reminds me of a line I once heard regarding covering a major league baseball team. It sounds good at first, like marrying a nymphomaniac. But in the long-run, it can be exhausting.

Hang in there!

Oct 7, 2011 - 9:51am

Did you take a walk last night? Maybe so.

Infamous last post from last thread repost. I'm pretty sure I have the most last posts/old thread title firmly in hand.

Bobbejaan...caught your Africa comment. Interesting stuff by all. So much to catch up on.

Took a loooong walk last night and was thinking about some of the comments during the day a bit ( particularly shills) and took a good many of you on that walk with me as I sorted the deluge of information and market turbulence, emotions of the market etc. and tried to let it fall off my shoulders and mind a bit. It worked, for me.

However, the walk was so long that I ended up on the couch transfixed to something silly and irrelevant and had a couple laughs and drifted off early to a deep Oden's Sleep.

Somewhere inbetween there a chocolate chip cookie munch fest took place. I woke up with one on a napkin on my chest when I woke up with the TV on at 1:00 a.m.. I had a chuckle at that moment also.

Mission accomplished. Stress relief did happen.

And to think, none of you knew you went for a walk with me.

We're all in this together. Not financially of course, but in spirit and hope.

Oct 7, 2011 - 9:53am

Condolences TF...Hang tough Brother

This is a test of our resolve in many ways during these times.

And then the human element reminds us what's really important. Peace today.

Good luck with the fundraiser

Turd, good luck with the fundraiser. I lost one friend at 33 and another when she was 40 to cancer. Both had young children but fortunately there was sufficient money to take care of the kids. I've had a battle with it myself. If this world can hold together maybe we will find an answer to this disease someday.

No worries, Silver is in control

Hey T, maybe a good weekend to spend some time at spa KJV.... rest and rejuvenation guaranteed (matt 11 28-30), plus a lot of good perspective for next week's posts!

Trying to analyze confusion is exhausting, better to just stick with Silver, and let them do all the worrying. Silver is in control.

3rd time this week the net

3rd time this week the net kicked me off right before the open. Anyone else having the same issue?

Oct 7, 2011 - 10:08am

8:30 -9:00 a.m. silver

What the heck was that all about?

I would really love to know what precipitates the action sometime and what is taking place and by whom because something is being telegraphed to someone who is waiting for it.

We know it's obvious what's taking place after 8:00 a.m. but that was a pretty unique and steep price swing within 20 minutes or so.

Oct 7, 2011 - 10:09am

Sorry Turd

Sorry to hear about your friend. Take your time with the site and don't wear yourself out, as you do a lot of work here and everyone needs a break. Your commitment to this site and all your followers is very impressive. Not a single one of us would blame you for taking a week or two away from all of it.

Well deserved break

TF Your huge contribution to the well being of Us is greatly appreciated, but Do Yourself and the home clan a favour and take some time, to smell the roses. Turds can take the weekend running rampant without Our Sage. Go take the fam go carting, and visit the zoo. Leave this zoo to the mods for the weekend, go for a hike, or pound some gin with Sweetness, all work and no play, makes Johnny a dull boy! Live a little clear Your head, have a ripper of a weekend! :)

I have reason to believe....

That we may be looking at this all wrong.....

Those in power are just human beings, the same as you and I, fearful of the changes at hand, reacting out of fear to save what they have been taught/worked to create.

We must approach these people in control with respect, as a human beings, even if they do not show the same for others, for they are only acting out of their own personal awareness, which happens to be one many of us may not see/wish to acknowledge due to our personal ego filled with emotion and our own fear, instead of empathy and understanding for all people..... the only way peace will ever come....

Divide and Conquer works on a greater macro level.... as in if the people who are controlled and the people who control the masses through creation of the modern day society and industries, pin against one another.... man will blow itself up. We need to have a message of love and understanding, even for those who wish to not offer the same back to us.

Imagine you were born into a bloodline family of power, as a child you had no say in your destiny and you were born within, and the awareness you were made of was never one of love and understanding.......

I think that October may be the crash.... and physical PM's takeoff, and complete currency control/price controls on all markets. I also think the coming of the internet censorship is at hand. We may be in the last weeks/days of freedom in its current form. Don't take anything for granted, ever. Embrace each moment and the challenges/opportunities it offers.

Be not afraid, humanity has already won. We just need to convince the kings that they must reconsider.

I will go into more thought, as I will be trying to formulate my understandings.....

The stock market is ~25% percent higher than its correlated basket of commodities/currencies.... as if being held up waiting to crash in an epic fashion, to roll out the next stages.......

There may be something too this!

We cannot speak with hatred towards other human beings, for that only empowers the negative energy at hand..... we must speak with understanding, respect, clarity, calmness, love, and the willingness to embrace the future, no matter what challenges it offers.

Please prepare accordingly if you have not....

This will come when you are unexpected.... it was never designed to be any different......

@DPH - AMEN! When trading

@DPH - AMEN! When trading like that shows up, you either have to think - Stop the rise! or HFT trigger. And it's also stuff like that which makes one stop posting for a while until you have even a reasonable thought about what's going on.

And right now, I don't have one, so I'll just keep quiet and read.

Guest Host

Hey Mr Ferguson,

If you're getting worn out maybe you can get a guest host in once in a while to make the daily blog post, to give you a little breathing room, let you take a little rest. I've seen a good handful of users here who could probably act as a quality guest host for a couple days without causing the place to fall over :)

I'd hate to see you get burnt out! Keep the faith!

Harmonic wealth

Wealth can be categorized as follows:

spiritual, physical (as in health), intellectual, relationships, and financial (acronym - SPIRF)

All of will be wise to continually assess our needs and manage our balances in all five.

Have a good day, fellow Turdites!

78.48 on Pigitha

Dec 11 quote.... breaking down. Losing this level looks like 78 is possible. That should be the impetus to send gold over $1665 and silver past $32.50.

The long bond would be approaching 140 as well. If it loses that level, then 137.50 is possible.

@$6Ag: yes, a break above 142.80 on the 30 year T-bill would be bad for anyone short.

Oct 7, 2011 - 10:29am

@Keg: ...maybe someday we'll find a cure....

We probably all know too many people whom we've lost to cancer, and more who are struggling with it now. There is some progress: check out

and watch the movie Burzynski if you can find it, to get a feel for how corruption in the FDA and Big Pharma have contributed to the toll.

Oct 7, 2011 - 10:30am

Sounds like you just chastised TF for whatever reason.

Dude's hurting today and you have a problem with what....? That wasn't necessary right then was it?

Or was that the intent? To spur a response and stir the hive up. Thanks for your "advice".

Oct 7, 2011 - 10:31am

Step back and take a breath everybody

Hiya Turd,

I've been posting a few times, mostly about the psychology in the gold/silverbug community because I'm pretty clueless about charts. ;-)

Long term I agree that the present Ponzi scheme can't continue, but it seems to me that waaaay too many gold&silverbugs are getting waaaaay too caught up in this whole worldwide conspiracy against PM's etc.

Everybody is expecting this whole thing to collapse any minute with gold zooming to $10000,- and silver north of $100,-

Well, it doesn't and it won't... Even houses of cards have some stability, you know.

Have some patience, you're excellent with charts and you have some very valuable insights and in the long term I'm totally on your side, BUT PLEASE GIVE THESE CONSPIRACIES SOME REST TURD!

Everybody has their vested interests, including us gold&silverbugs! When prices go down some complain about raids and EE's, when prices go up perhaps the C/C/C and EE complain about us nutcases buying PM's.

The truth, as always, is probably somewhere in the middle, and even if it's not in the middle, the truth will some day come out...

Have some faith in the long term, stop starring at computer screens trying to push/levitate prices higher by telepathy and hopium.

I really enjoy reading this site and your comments/insights, although personally I'm getting a bit worn out by idiots pasting YouTube videos, totally unrelated nonsense and posting "first" while hat tipping themselves for it.

Market orders never never!

To the new investors, never buy using a market order, always place a limit order! If You really want to hit a fast moving target ie. chase a bid place a good lead limit bid on the ask. ie 10 cents above the ask. Never enter a market order, ever! You can get scalped big time paying 2.50 for a .43 cent call! I witnessed some poor sap paying 300% over the bid ask today! A very unhappy camper I'm sure! A ripper of a weekend to all ;) fogg

THE Reason for Gold & Silver decline!

It's because I've been watching it consistently every 5 minutes. When I turn off the computer and stop looking for a long period of time then come back, it's always higher. Never fails! And, there ya have it....

Oct 7, 2011 - 10:34am

As KK and others have said Turd,

good luck at the fundraiser. Good on all the friends to make something positive of the tragedy of the loss of one so young.

Here's the Town's "prescription by consensus" for your long Columbus Day weekend:

Live. Breathe. Play. Love.

Then come back to us on Tuesday. Things will look much better, and we will all still be here.
