It's Good To Be Turd

If you've been a Turdite for a while, you know how amazing I find all of this. A year ago, I'm just this dope with a MacBook and a few strongly held opinions. Now, I'm MacBook-toting dope who runs one of the Top 5 PM-themed websites in the world. Seriously, how weird is that?

One of the true perks of being The Turd is that I've been able to strike up relationships with a lot of people who actually know what they're doing. At any moment, I could pick up the phone and call or email a whole bunch of folks who, just a year ago, would never have taken my call. I've been able to meet and speak to people with whom I would normally never be able to contact.

One such amazing encounter occurred back on Sunday evening. The nice folks at https://www.webbotforum.com/ asked me to participate in an hour-long interview of the great Jim Rogers. They even let me ask the first couple of questions! The full interview was just posted to their YouTube channel and the links are listed chronologically below.

I highly encourage you to take the time to listen to the interview. Jim has forgotten more about commodity trading than most of us (combined) will ever know. However, his typical interview is on financial TV and it usually covers the same, boring topics and leaves little room for expansive answers and follow-up. Let's just say that this was not the typical interview. Enjoy!

Again, thank you all for making this possible. One day, when I am rotting in my government re-education/hard labor camp, I'll be cursing the time I spent as Turd. For now, though, I feel overwhelmingly blessed. TF

Violent Rhetoric... that was hysterical!

Though I do not want to see the actual dead squirrel, I DO want him relocated to squirrel heaven and not a street down where he tells his buddies about my garden- I would not be happy!

squirrels

I've seen some pretty hilarious tv shows about how squirrels can beat every contraption devised by man. On the "Billy the Exterminator" show he once referred to them as "criminal masterminds" ha ha.

BTW, our apple tree looks like crap this year. Not squirrels though. Just small and buggy apples. Not a decent one on there. That makes two years in a row now. :(

The popcorn is not too great either. Not a total loss, but nothing to write home about.

finally followed advice

I finally followed advice from you guys...

My sister, dad and myself wanted to buy more silver. So finally I decided I will BTFD instead of chasing a price like I have been doing. It was time to break bad habits. So I bought yesterday at $42 and today at $41 and I will hang onto the rest until another margin hike on gold or silver happens. Hopefully did something right this time.

Squirrels

I relocate them about 2 miles away and across several roads, sometimes on the back of my bike!

To each his own... I relocate the trapped ones to squirrel heaven with a .22 I keep thinking word will spread but they just keep coming. Squirrel zombies.

9:30 am PM beat down

I have observed this many many mornings and I believe what it is all about is mining share related. Some large entities go short mining shares from the previous session or pre-market so they engineer a massive spike down in the comex at the opening of stock market. They cover their shorts as others are selling into the spike down in the futures. Anyway this is what my theory is of the opening smack down.

Oh well

One of those days where I don't even go to the Op's account to look around. As long as I'm in the market with positions I'm good. This was somewhat expected.

Nothing unnatural looking about the PM charts this a.m. thus far. (sarc>on)
