It's Good To Be Turd

If you've been a Turdite for a while, you know how amazing I find all of this. A year ago, I'm just this dope with a MacBook and a few strongly held opinions. Now, I'm MacBook-toting dope who runs one of the Top 5 PM-themed websites in the world. Seriously, how weird is that?

One of the true perks of being The Turd is that I've been able to strike up relationships with a lot of people who actually know what they're doing. At any moment, I could pick up the phone and call or email a whole bunch of folks who, just a year ago, would never have taken my call. I've been able to meet and speak to people with whom I would normally never be able to contact.

One such amazing encounter occurred back on Sunday evening. The nice folks at https://www.webbotforum.com/ asked me to participate in an hour-long interview of the great Jim Rogers. They even let me ask the first couple of questions! The full interview was just posted to their YouTube channel and the links are listed chronologically below.

I highly encourage you to take the time to listen to the interview. Jim has forgotten more about commodity trading than most of us (combined) will ever know. However, his typical interview is on financial TV and it usually covers the same, boring topics and leaves little room for expansive answers and follow-up. Let's just say that this was not the typical interview. Enjoy!

Again, thank you all for making this possible. One day, when I am rotting in my government re-education/hard labor camp, I'll be cursing the time I spent as Turd. For now, though, I feel overwhelmingly blessed. TF

TF

You really ought to get ahold of Joe Martin and come to one of the Cambridge House conferences and speak Turd. Your message is crystal clear and to the point. You would be well received. I am sure of that.

Or maybe we could have a Turd Convention in Las Vegas? Sounds like more fun... ;o)

government camps

Turd,

I am listening to the interview now.

It's like our hometown guy is up there with the big guns.

Thanks for representing the guys in the trenches.

Regarding today's price action, is it just me or did we see the Tuesday morning repeat a previous Tuesday beat down?

sadly my own macbook lost the capacity to play audio recently, I'll be back with the ipad though! many pats on the back to you sir!

I hope you know we would never let you be taken to any camp you didn't want to go to, me and shill and a few others (jackmeoff?) would do a Rambo III reenactment within the first day! Yeah, I think its safe to say you have friends in low places too.

Turd, I'm sure it'll be just like Camp Northstar

in Meatballs. Could be the one place we'll get 3 squares. I call bottom bunk.

In their dreams maybe!

How stupid ...

People line up to buy PMs (Scotia, Toronto)

and some others line up to sell PMs ... (Tokyo, Japan)

Check out the long line not visible in this screenshot at:

Hi Turd, Congratulations on

Hi Turd,

Congratulations on your success to date and look forward to listening and reading your views as you lead as through these turbulent times.

I finished listening to the first segment of the interview with Jim Rogers. It's not only what a person says but it is also how a person says something that the listener determines their credibility. And Jim Rogers comes across as the tribe elder filled wisdom and certainty. His words, just as yours, are very reassuring that all of us are doing the right thing. When I first got into investing in PM's there were few books on the subject but usually one lone book sitting on the shelf by Jim Rogers. Over the years with the proliferation of pm websites, newsletters, I had forgotten all about him. However, hearing him has made me eager to continue to seek out his wisdom as we progress deeper into unchartered territory.

Also, I'd like to thank you for your recent post on your favorite mines. As you continue to improve the site and look for other ways you can help us, I'd simply request that you continue to give us regular insights into your trades, mining and options. You often say you are buying or selling calls but it's difficult to follow especially not being an option trader. Of course, they will simply be your trades and preferences and I won't take them as recommendations. When you read the forum, you'll notice that the most asked questions relate to what should we buy and it is it the right time to buy. Speaking for myself, you can never have too much reassurance that you are making the right decisions and so often look to see what others are doing. Of course, in the end, we each have to do what's right for our personal circumstances.

Peace to you brother!
