My Scottrade works fine.

My miners are bringing me down.

My FSG is bringing me up.

If I can get a parity trade on gold/platinum ratio, I'll sell all my CEF and get all in PPLT.

Frozen trading platforms

I've noticed some irregularities with my platform and I'm not talking about the SLW activity.

It refreshes or freeze's slightly or doesn't work smoothly on certain days (rule 48). I have a newer computer that runs like a watch so it's obvious when it occur's.

You have to figure that for them (EE bastards) that any short term hiccups that the sellers/buyers have to experience at the market opening and at the retail end of trading is a huge benefit to them with their HFT algo's

It's always in their favor. But I think it's becoming unraveled.

Any reason given for the Russian market closure (in English)?

Aug 18, 2011 - 9:48am

Oil actually getting sold off....

....for now with the rest of the market.

Given the Syria news and whatever else is going to pop up on the financial front is anyone's guess and the market sell off is getting ugly and it's early.

Aug 18, 2011 - 9:52am

Just watched Johnny Algo jack me up again

BM's Pac Man done chewed up and reversed any/all early gains.... But, Au 1820 and Ag 40.81 is where all my focus is...

No surprises here. Keep the powder nice n' dry waiting for the best prices on fine, trophy miners. We may be waiting a while.

I'm buying more PGH calls if it gets down to $10. $10.96 now, will load up on Oct/Jan . I doubt it happens. It looks like an on-open raid at this point before the whole world blows up. One last dip into the commodity cookie jar as it were at stink bid prices.

Double Post: S&P

Is holding 1154. Major support line. If that holds, the miners should begin to move with gold as sanity returns.

Aug 18, 2011 - 9:57am

"You are all SUPPOSED to be

"You are all SUPPOSED to be exiting your miners right NOW. ..Don't you see the (red) writing on the wall?? This is going NOWHERE. You will not prosper. Abandon NOW. This is what we can do to you and there's more where THIS came from. We have unlimited POWER." -EE (hypothetical quote)

"Uh. Yeah. Sure. K. Have a nice day EE" -Us (hypothetical response)

Aug 18, 2011 - 10:01am

"Disgusting display. I am so

"Disgusting display.

I am so sick and tired of this shit!"

Yep. I've bought my first miners only about 2 months ago, but I am also already getting tired of it. Lol.

@DPH. I watched this happen one day last week around 3:00 in real time on Scottrade and SVM shares dropped around $.50 when it glitched back in. Remember when Neo saw that cat twice in The Matrix?

How do I get in on the fun?

I just heard on TV that Obama was recently quoted as saying.....(get ready for this one)that he's been treated worse then Abraham Lincoln ever was

Our President is a shallow, megalomaniac who craves attention and complains when he doesn't get it. Lincoln??? Really? A President who had a civil war and the slavery issue before him in the mid 1800's and Obama is treated worse then Abraham Lincoln?

Our President obviously has some perception issue's and see's things much differently then we do. It's pretty obvious. Let's see if the MSM picks up on that one.

10 year treasury note...

...just hit a record low at 1.99%. Gold is surging again off this news.

TSHTF this a.m. I've said it a lot and it still applies. I'm expecting just about anything at this point.

The High quality miners

look good this morning.

KGC and AUY in particular look like they are getting bought up with both fists into all this fear selling.

MFN is being played with on low volume. SVM is just miserable.

But the S&P has lost the battle at 1154 and that's putting pressure on all the miners good and bad.

Aug 18, 2011 - 10:07am

Philly FED

What a decrepit report. grab your asses folks. were going down big.

Aug. Philly Fed shipments -13.9 vs 4.3 in July

Aug. Philly Fed new orders -26.8 vs 0.1 July

Aug 18, 2011 - 10:10am

Aug 18, 2011 - 10:10am

Thank me later....

The dip for all who are waiting will come soon. Nearly always happens when I buy OTM calls.

(I just bot some IAU OTM calls for October.... snuck in a stink bid and got some. )

Either my trading account will get credited with more "federal" debt notes, or the US / UK PTB invade Venezuela. (Which will accelerate QE3 and the spot in Silver / Gold

(Wow... as I type Rick on 'see the BS' (CNBC) saying the public is awakening about QE3 and Gold prices with 'all the ads on 60 minutes'.)

Maybe I'll get some "federal" debt notes after all.

They are bidding up the Jan 12 contracts on AUY while the price hovers in the $15.50-.60 range. The bid/ask is not $0.96/$1.00 and rising. Implied volatility rise?

Aug 18, 2011 - 10:14am

DPH ...there are lots of

DPH ...there are lots of sites with the free emoticons. I was playing around with them last week but couldn't figure out how to make the active ones 'move'. It wouldn't work for me in email... but it seemed to work here on the blog. Weird. .....I thought I'd try again after I saw ewc's cool artwork.

Try this site:'s the only one I've had time to try out.. but there are others...

Have fun!

When the Dow Stabilizes

The miners are going to go ballistic. 209 on the XAU with the DOW off 470? That's bullish right there.

HL getting off the mat. $7.31, a break of $7.56 would be huge in HL, that's the line they drew in the sand the other day. GG moving back to $51.
