Headed To The Airport

Just a quick note as I'm headed to the airport.

Don't get too excited or depressed by price action today and this week. Every rumor will be met with a wave of selling, like we just saw about 10 minutes ago. Gold looks to catch a bid when it falls back near last week's high of 1610. Silver seems to stabilize in the 40.20-40.40 area.

Remember, deal or no deal, the debt ceiling is going UP. This means at least another $2T in debt...another $2T that will primarily come from QE. Gold is going much higher. My current target is $1800 by Halloween. Take advantage of dips.

More after the close. TF

It's their favorite time to hit the PM's, after all, gold and silver must appear to be risky and/or bad investments, and what better time to convey that than the beginning of most trading days:

Chicago Fed

Index shows economic growth again below average in June

The Chicago Fed National Activity Index increased to –0.46 in June from –0.55 in May; however, the index remained negative for the third consecutive month. Three of the four broad categories of indicators that make up the index improved in June, but only one made a positive contribution to the index.
