Yes, it's that time of the month again. Today is the day that August options on Comex price and expire and Thursday is the day that the front month Sep24 silver goes off the board and into "delivery". As with every Comex option expiration day, you must expect price management into the pricing close and we are definitely seeing this again today.
At least, if anything, we'll soon have this behind us. It's a relatively quiet week and the main economic event won't come until Friday with the latest PCE data. By then, it will be good to have all of the expiries in the rear view mirror...
