CPI Wednesday

Another US consumer inflation report has com and gone and, though it printed slightly hotter than expected, the Comex PMs have seemingly survived to fight another day.

Maybe that's not the right way to put it. First of all, the CPI was actually in line with most expectations with just a small uptick in month-over-month "core" inflation, primarily due to higher energy prices.
