Today is not a full market holiday but it sort of feels like it is. So let's get the week underway and see where the day takes us before closing shop until Wednesday.
Again, tomorrow is Independence Day here in the U.S. and Canada is celebrating Canada Day today with its markets closed. So look for two things:
- Light/abysmal volume in the mining shares
- All equity trading in the U.S. ends at 1:00 pm ET or three hours earlier than usual
