If you're of a certain age, you'll recall the term "green shoots". And as we discussed yesterday, if you're of this age, you'll soon be imprinted with the term "soft landing", too.
In the end, it's really just kind of funny. Like genuinely and laughably funny. Out of the rubble and desolation of 2009, the "green shoots of the economy" were going to lead growth in 2010. All would be well, The Ben Bernank was a "savior" and The Fed would never have to do QE again. Ooops. The US economy began to falter as 2010 continued and QE2 was launched in November.
And now here we are...
