The Math Is The Math

How many times have you heard me say that over the years? A thousand? Well, we got another reminder late yesterday and, with not much else new to discuss this fine Friday morning, we might as well go over this again.

And what is "this". The simple mathematical fact that the line item "interest on the national debt" is soon to overwhelm all other categories on the budget of the US government. This was made clear again yesterday with the release of the latest monthly deficit figures. The news came out late in the day and you may have missed it.
