Here's a new thread...

Mon, Mar 16, 2020 - 9:22am

Just a place to hold us over until I can get something written.

I've added a bunch of new comments to the old thread from about comment #250 through the end. Please check there for current thoughts.

For now, though, here's just a new thread for updated TFMR comments. The NYSE is about to open and I want/need to watch the action and listen to the commentary.

Will have a full update and regular Monday morning post by the usual 11:00 EDT.

Dealer pricing

Well if the Comex closes, I see it as basically becoming a barter type situation. Each will look at their supplies, determine if they need or want to sell, and act accordingly. It is possible they will collude and set up a dark cartel, if you will.

Ask yourself, if I was a dealer what would I do?

this idea is catching on

It may be the best of very bad choices but the idea of a two week holiday that includes market closures is one I continue to hear from many in the financial community. Secretary Mnuchin disagreed with the idea last Friday but events can change opinions.

I have 300 SLV options that now show an ask price of $1.35. Wish it was real

In 2008

Gold lost 26.5% before bottoming. Silver lost 55%. GDX lost 68.5%. This played out over much of the year, but this time will probably be much faster, both on the way down and on the way up. And then all of these recovered to new all-time highs by 2011.

So my plan is to have enough cash to cover expenses for the rest of the year, and to sell as little as possible.

Its all coming unglued. This

Its all coming unglued. This may be the reset...another limit down in a few minutes is my guess.

Premiums continuing to climb.

In other news austin to bolivar ferry traffic thru houston. Thats including a stop for gass in Giddings. Haulin tail this cops in sight. Im getting this inspection done as fast as possible then getting back asap.

It's easier to navigate the long set of comments when members have hundreds of comments and vital information to share with the rest of the people who read TFMR but don't post regularly. Breaking the long pages into pieces makes the review easier.

TFMR is a vital go-to resource for minute by minute news. Thank you to everyone who comes to the site, comment, bring in links and videos and sharing on ground experiences.

When people take time from their busy days to help share intel here, that is defined sacrifice of valuable time given to others who want to know what's going on.

Take care everyone. Love to all

this is so freaking surreal

Can hardly believe it's all happening.

I recall having nightmares of nuclear war when I was a kid. I'd wake up, look around and realize that it was all just a dream.

This is not a dream. Just terrible.

unlike last week where it took a few minutes

The "stock market" opened and then immediately locked limit down.

The next attempt will be at 9:46 EDT.
