Just a place to hold us over until I can get something written.

I've added a bunch of new comments to the old thread from about comment #250 through the end. Please check there for current thoughts.

For now, though, here's just a new thread for updated TFMR comments. The NYSE is about to open and I want/need to watch the action and listen to the commentary.

Will have a full update and regular Monday morning post by the usual 11:00 EDT.

Rice

You all have probably heard my rice at the Asian market story from a couple weeks ago. It was a buying frenzy and a bunch of Vietnamese yelling at the manager and each other. The ration was one 50 pound bag per customer.

I will be looking to pick up agricultural related businesses in the carnage.

here's that tweet

I posted this to Twitter right before I hit the rack last night.

The pending moment of truth:

What will bullion dealers do...and what prices will they charge...if/when the LBMA and Comex (with all of the other markets) shut down for a period of time?
Will dealers shut, too, or will they create their own market with a physically-derived price? https://t.co/giR605xjMI

Articles blaming; Corona virus and also Putin

for the crash of a system that was unsolvent over ten years ago. The disingenuous media is really a problem, but an ignorant people is more so.

IRS

If they keep market closed until after April 15, they aren't going to get my taxes. How much penalty will they charge. Probably double like speeding in a construction zone. Got to get rid of the fascists.

Ps 1

How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.

We knew this day was coming

And we knew the system was tipping over the whole last decade and they've been desperately holding it up. It's shocking to see, but we have all known this day was not only inevitable but necessary. It is of course scary, but let's be honest we are all here because we've been trying to prepare for the unpreparable, this very scenario.

Now we'll just have to see if the attempts we've made to acquire certain assets outside of the system will be enough to get us through this period of chaos.

Again, Hang Tough Turdville.
