Just a place to hold us over until I can get something written.

I've added a bunch of new comments to the old thread from about comment #250 through the end. Please check there for current thoughts.

For now, though, here's just a new thread for updated TFMR comments. The NYSE is about to open and I want/need to watch the action and listen to the commentary.

Will have a full update and regular Monday morning post by the usual 11:00 EDT.

guess we will see

What if

1. All interstate highways get closed.

2. All major cities are closed, no movement in or out.

3. Food supplies to cities are disrupted.

4. Congress gets hit with serious CV infection.

5. Trump and Pence get CV.

6. Banks are closed.

7. All delivery service close.

Premiums on Gold/Silver Eagles/Maples

Watching SD Bullion, JM Bullion, and Apmex. Premiums much higher over the last couple days. SD Bullion is the highest and they are usually the lowest. I'm guessing they've been caught with their pants down.

The winner as of now... JM Bullion

If COMEX and LBMA shut down...

The price for physical will decouple, but it will take time to play out in full. What will keep the price in check is a lack of buyers--how many people have cash for bullion?--and the fact that coin dealers must also raise cash, like everyone else. Right now this is a deflationary credit collapse, and everything will remain on sale until it bottoms out.

Wifey has a good sense of humor. Inside joke

I plan to do a drive by to our local bank for some extra simoleons Wifey asked me to pick up some spring mix and spinach. She said it's unlikely that anyone will be lined up for salad fixings rather than TP.

If that was the case it would be the first time in human history that people would be binge shopping for something healthy.

This is 2008 and 2013 All Over Again- and Possibly More!

Premiums on silver eagles $6.50. I remember them being $9 in 2008. The physical market is breaking free of the paper market in a spectacular fashion.
