Here's a new thread...

Just a place to hold us over until I can get something written.

I've added a bunch of new comments to the old thread from about comment #250 through the end. Please check there for current thoughts.

For now, though, here's just a new thread for updated TFMR comments. The NYSE is about to open and I want/need to watch the action and listen to the commentary.

Will have a full update and regular Monday morning post by the usual 11:00 EDT.

Gold and silver acting

Gold and silver acting exactly as it should in this scenario. The only way PM's rebound is IF the government decides to stimulate the real economy. The stimulus will be for Wall Street in the forms of 0% interest rates, QE, bailouts and tax breaks.

There is no meaningful stimulus for Main Street coming, that's why bonds are near 0% and hard assets are getting killed.

This crisis will end up with The Elite grabbing more power and the peasants losing wealth and gaining even more debt.

Look at the balls on gold!

Amazing rally. Holy shnikies! Gold now only down 1%. That is a huge breeze of fresh air. Never thought I would be so happy to see a gold rally. Silver still needs shock therapy and chest compressions, but at least it has a pulse.

Catching a bid...

PMs and especially miners are catching a bid. These should lead us out. I'm certainly not calling for a recovery across the board, just saying these tend to be the first few sectors that perform.

CNBS what bullshit.

Not a whisper of gold making a move and miners in the green. They must have orders to hammer all PM's as much as possible. Guessing no Peter Schiff on today, he would chew them up and spit them out! Just heard some lady say gold is selling off. What a crock. Can't wait for them to eat those words. Its coming to a theater near you.

Me too.

Noticed the same thing last week - interesting indeed. Obviously, shortages are setting in. That's why I never bought the idea that physical would be crushed along with paper.

impressive here

is that the miners aren't simply following the S&P500 or DOW (a low tide sinks all boats?) but rather doing much better.

Somebody.... I guess more guys like us are seeing value in them. But why should this come as a surprise? We knew this might be coming.

Just got an order in from SD Bullion

On the top of a tube of 20 Roaring Lions is a sticker that says "Looking To Sell?" with a phone number. I've never seen this before over dozens of orders over time. Another indication of how tight supply of physical is?
