As summer approaches, the efforts to contain Ukraine Crisis seem to be increasing. However, The War Party is also increasing its effort to spark a wider conflict. News coverage of this situation may be confined to the back pages of most MSM outlets but that definitely does NOT mean that you should stop paying attention to this very dangerous situation.

Covered during this excellent program, recorded just last evening, are these main points:

  • Though the Sochi meetings of Putin, Lavrov and Kerry brought hopes of peace and cooperation, ongoing events continue to unwind any progress that was made.
  • There was a meeting in Riga, Latvia last week where not only was Ukraine not invited to take steps to join the EU, it also made zero progress in finding additional funding for its overwhelming debt burden. Remember, Ukraine is bankrupt and its economy is in shambles.
  • Theoretical scenarios for the crisis laid out in a recent study produced by the US Army War College.

And be certain that you listen to the final segment of the program as it contains a very interesting discussion, too, It begins at approximately the 29:00 mark.

Pay attention now. This crisis is going to get even more serious as we head into the summer. You need to stay on top of the situation and it is extremely important that you listen to these weekly podcasts.

How to Become a 'Mouthpiece for a Mass Murderer'

A piece on apparent Whitehouse initiative to discredit Cohen for his views

"Shock! Horror! Does this mean? No, it couldn’t possibly…? Could someone really be suggesting that the White House might be wrong? Stop the presses!

RFERL added that it wasn’t surprising to anyone who had been following Cohen’s work that his arguments continued to dovetail “a narrative pushed by the Kremlin” — a line which got me wondering why it is that I so rarely see the phrase “narrative pushed by the White House” — and then I remembered that the White House doesn’t have “narratives” because of course, it has the truth. Silly me."

Skousen has a few words on Ukraine

From Joel Skousen at

Many alternative news watchers were concerned this week by three big statements that directly or indirectly warn about an imminent third world war. A senior NATO official said that the world would “probably be at war” sometime this summer, referring to an escalation of Russia’s barely-disguised stealth invasion of Ukraine. Globalist billionaire George Soros cautioned about tweaking the ire of the Chinese dragon, claiming that China was on the verge of economic collapse and would be looking for an external excuse to rally her people to go to war. The third is really from last year but it was brought up again in context with the others: Chinese PLA Professor Han Xudong warned that Beijing should prepare itself for a third world war which could arise out of the conflict between the United States and Russia over Ukraine. While I have been at the forefront in warning about this upcoming world war, these warnings are all premature and wrong as to the specific provocations and timing. This week I’ll try to help readers sort out the hype and hysteria from the reality.

First let’s address the NATO leak that, according to, was relayed to former NSA intelligence analyst John Schindler. The NATO official is reported to have said,

“We’ll probably be at war this summer, if we’re lucky it won’t be nuclear,” the official told Schindler last week. Although the tweet was retweeted over 400 times, the comment garnered no mainstream media attention whatsoever, which is odd given that Schindler is a former U.S. Naval War College lecturer and is known to have many high level military contacts. One analysis of the comment suggests it may have been a “deliberate ‘leak’ from NATO sources, to emphasize how serious the situation is.”

The Ukraine invasion by Russia is serious but the stealth nature of the invasion proves that Putin does not intend to provoke an immediate war with the West. And the token US sanctions show the US isn’t willing to really confront Russia over Ukraine. Russia isn’t ready for war with the West, and despite some verbal threats by Putin, is working off of a much longer timeline. If Putin invaded Ukraine openly NATO would be forced to respond or lose face as a military deterrent. But by infiltrating troops secretly without uniforms or insignias Putin can continue to claim Russia isn’t involved and get away with it.

Remember that the Soviet Union faked its own demise in 1990-91 and is in the process of rebuilding and remilitarizing after years of Western aid and trade that has bolstered its oil and gas revenue stream. The Soviets even pre-planned how they would excuse the takeover of former satellite nations they appeared to set free.

First, they planted phony anti-communists in the political ranks, like Lech Walesa in Poland, Vaclav Havel in Czechoslovakia, and Iliescu of Romania, to fool the West into thinking that reformers had taken over. In fact, they were all Soviet agents only acting as Pro-Western anti-communists. Even today many of the former Soviet states, including Ukraine, have had a series of outwardly pro-Western politicians who are secretly aligned with Moscow who are sabotaging the reputation of liberty and free markets through continued corruption. They will eventually play a role in facilitating some kind of annexation of their countries back into Russia similar what Hitler did to Austria before WWII.

Second, before the “fall” the Soviets relocated millions of Russians and forced them to settle in Ukraine, Georgia, the Baltic States and all the other former Soviet satellite states. As in Ukraine, these Russians will provide the fuel for social unrest that will justify Russian intervention to “protect them.” But all this takes time in order to make it appear as if it is a naturally occurring civil unrest—not a direct Russian provocation, which it really is.

There are indications that Russia is about to start a new offensive in Ukraine after using the current shaky truce to regroup and rearm its insurgent troops. Heavy armor has been rolling into the border area of Ukraine from Russia, including APCs (armored personnel carriers), tanks, and mobile rocket launchers.

Putin also decreed this week that the names of all Russian soldiers killed during peacetime was to be kept secret by the government. There is no other ongoing military conflict for Russia except Ukraine, so this can only mean that Putin knows that a new offensive is in the offing and that there will be more Russian soldiers involved and killed. He wants no evidence of a large uptick of Russian military deaths made public in Russia, which would provide evidence of Russian involvement. The Infowars article continues:

Earlier this month NATO launched its biggest ever wargame exercise on Russia’s doorstep. Moscow responded by conducting “provocative” wargames in the Mediterranean Sea in coordination with the Chinese PLA, the first ever naval drill involving both superpowers.

NATO powers are also taking part in one of Europe’s largest ever fighter jet drills from today, with the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Finland, Norway and Sweden all involved in the 12 day exercise.

These descriptions suggest that NATO is using war games as an excuse to bring military forces into the region in preparation for war, or as a provocation to Russia, but that’s not what this is about at all. Although a drill could be used as a feint prior to a real attack, as Hitler did leading up to the attack on Poland, none of these drills even approach the size in manpower and equipment that would be necessary to launch a real attack, and Russia knows that. Disregard all the claims that these are Western provocations.

If anything they are merely mild demonstrations of military prowess to placate the increasingly worried public that NATO and the US aren’t doing anything about confronting Russia. Public worries are justified—all this is just for show. If the US and NATO were serious about stopping Russia they would send in troops to seal the border of Ukraine—a purely defensive move that would allow the Ukraine government to retake cities and wipe out the insurgents.

But the leaders in Ukraine itself are not really trying to win this war. The 2013 coup was actually engineered by Russia to make it appear as a pro-Western coup, but the leaders are in collusion with Russia, sabotaging all good will with their own people and provoking the pro-Russian majorities in Eastern Ukraine with civilian deaths.

Joel maintains the actual trigger will be North Korea's full offensive on South Korea, saying once  we see that it will escalate to nuclear exchanges within days.
