"there is a general feeling

"there is a general feeling of relief that euro-zone finance ministers finally sealed the deal with Greece, but concerns still linger."

ie. this will continue till mid March. Be careful below today.

Congrats to those who went

Congrats to those who went long over the weekend. That was ballsy. It was the right call.

I've missed out on the party this morning. Will be interesting to see if the miners give us any intraday play or if, as per the trend, all the juice has already transpired in the non-trading hours.

I have added EXK this morning at 10.39.

Watching LNG this morning as well.  It broke down on Friday.  I will go short on the first sign of exhaustion.

Yeah--March of, oh, 2020 (well, maybe not that soon...)

Gonna try my hand at trading CL using the pivots.  Might watch for a day or two, first.  Who know?  It might work!

This market will go up at

This market will go up at least until the 11th hour, but it may continue to climb for the rest of the day.

Rico  I'd be careful of

Rico  I'd be careful of trusting pivots on CL,  we were sat right on R3 before Xmas when I doubled up on an underwater position from R2 and went to the kitchen to make a drink without getting  stops in place, some announcement came out about Iran allowing inspectors in or something and 3 minutes later I got back to a $3 vertical drop, damn near wiped my experimental trade account out.

CL often just blasts straight through pivots in either direction on news, Gold and silbver are much more sticky to pivots than crude from what ive seen.

You usually have lots of patience, I would suggest that patience is required here before jumping to any conclusion.  The fight is for $1750 and $34 and it only just started again this morning.  Give it a chance.

SIM, you're right except that

SIM, you're right except that this week is tricky with OE on Thursday, so unfortunately anything can happen.  But yes, patience first. Direction for this morning is till not clear.

Platinum, palladium and copper all up over 2.5%

They've been lagging the last week or so.  Now they're back out front.

I guess that $1750 is going to fall.  Maybe not today, but in the next couple days.  (Just my guess.  I'm not going to lose my shirt if I'm wrong.)

over $1750 now

so can we hold into the close?  By the way, I am never sure what people mean by the close, if they mean the comex close at around 1:30 eastern or the end of the day around 5pm - forex pros makes it more complicated as they start their day at 7pm eastern of the day before.

Added more JAG at 6.78.

Added more JAG at 6.78.  Something has to give here, and my bet is a move up.  Took a very large position this morning.

How about HL?  Crazy.

Mine is a case of being right

Mine is a case of being right thrice, but still being wrong!  Sitting on your hands, the hardest thing to do....I think it took Livermore a lifetime to figure that one out.

Took a small position

...and feel alright now. Small positions, I'm a fan of it ;)

Can we say that we don't know if $1750 will hold if tested? It's been big resistance, has it become good support now?

Slow and steady wins the race...

$34

Good call to everyone long over the weekend.  Just couldn't bring myself to do it.

Big week ahead.  Long term downtrend in sight ($34.90-$34.70), op-ex, lease rates all coming to a head this week.

Granny stop

Granny chased this morning. Was wrong about the weekend but whatever.

Now stops in place on PAAS,gdxj, nugt just hit, ugl, cde and slw.

Rebought EXK at open. Why? Because I was faked out of position on Friday. Will hold and average in. Difficult Market. Counterintuitive. Thought the stand aside and light short bet was best for weekend. Instead the Chinamen and the b.s. Greek manufactured news. Whatever.

Taking losses in slivers in GLL and dust. No rush on that.

I guess this is why I daytrade now. There is no predicting large swings that are bankable in this market from one day to the next. Tuesday remains as good probability up day, especially on a shortened week when the SweatHogs, back from the Hamptons and from chasing Ukrainian hookers for 3 days, are anxious to make money.

Now where is the General. I have not heard his trumpet sounded in the field.  His colors cannot be seen above the smoke-laden landscape. Chaos abounds and the troops in the rear are pulling back in fear and loathing, leaderless and jerking about like headless chickens in the open field. For whom shall the bell toll? Who shall step forward to retrieve the fallen flag? Who stands with honor and smiles into the face of rank cowardice? Surely there is one amongst the teeming mass of wavering gray that will launch his spittle into the winds of fortune! Oh General, where are thou? Have ye been so dishonored that you desert your own in this time of dire need? Or do you lay dead, dismembered and unrecognized on the ghostly hallows of yon Hill? Let it not be I say. Let it not be!

Re Jag train

SSK,

Good board on the JAG train. Now, question is, what stop are you getting off?
