These paid predictions are brought to you by con artists, that's all they are in my opinion. I would sooner listen to the likes of Armstrong, Faber etc.

Gartman??? That's a contra-indicator for sure. Then again maybe one of his cnbs buddies tipped him off about the 'something' that seems to be afoot.

be nimble here guys. my spidey senses are all tingly....not that it means much...hence my zsl position.

Euro/USD on lows for the day:

Euro/USD on lows for the day: 1.2780 as I type.

Silver and Gold are both frozen. No movement.

IMO the play is an overnight ZSL hold. That is what I'm going to do unless there is big movement in the afterhours where I will unload some but not all of my ZSL. I'm looking for 1.00 to 1.50 gap up in ZSL in premarket hours.

Either S/G are too high or Euro/USD is too low. I'm betting S/G fall tonight.

If no fall, there can be a strong argument made for delinkage from the Euro.

Days ago Euro was 1.2867 and silver hit the low of 26.14 intraday. Silver is currently at 29.27 in very light trading afterhours.

This seems to be the fat pitch everyone talks about. Maybe I'm wrong but this looks very very juicy. The overnight hours have beaten up on silver more often than not since early December.

Besides the caution against not holding overnight, anyone have any thoughts???

good to know that we are deploying troops to our brothers in arms, the peace-loving country of Amero-Israel

maybe this has something to do with oil and gold of late, who knows

The Jerusalem Post quotes US

The Jerusalem Post quotes US Commander Lt.-Gen Frank Gorenc as saying the drill is not just an “exercise” but also a “deployment” that will involve “several thousand American soldiers” heading to Israel.

I can tell you that the difference in those 2 terms is huge. My question is how long is the deployment and what types of troopies will stay after the training exercise. That is the tell. Should be a small contingency force to educate and train the Israelis on the new equipment.

Reading sandscript I'd say this is prep for not so covert actions. What I'm puzzled by is Obummer's true lack of support for Isreal in the past...so this doesn't add up. ....... unless you figure in an election year timeframe.

We are just one move in the ME away from a supershot in G/S/oil....just one.

Today's action put my ideas to the test  and I'm still not clear what's going on.  But certainly this today,  raises questions about the computer programming that sets these algos up.  It's not by chance they occur every day at the same time.  It's also not by chance that many days they do set parameters within which the metals trade.  I'm still working on it.  When I have better idea, if I do, I will definitely post it.

EURUSD

the divergence is indeed odd.  what's more odd is that they have been pulled down with the EUR waterfall effect, but then rallied back up again.

also the tick for tick direction correlation on the 5 minute is not always there anymore.

quite often see EUR going one way and metals the other, that virtually never happened up until 2 nights ago.

I would stay prepared for Silver to tank at the very least, Gold maybe not so much with the war-drums beating

Something worth considering

Take a close look at what happened around September 5th 2011.  The Euro began to drop in a big way, but silver actually pushed higher for one or two more days.  The next thing that happened was a silver drop, a big one.  Not saying that this is what will happen, but the precedent is there for it to be the case.

"While the tensions between Iran and the West will continue to bolster gold, as safe-haven interest increases, trade over the next couple of days is likely to be more heavily influenced by the line-up of economic data with ADP Employment Change and ISM Service PMI today and US Non-Farm Payrolls tomorrow, which is expected to show the creation of a further 153,000 jobs. The metal also faces further scaled-up resistance as it approached the potentially pivotal 200-DMA, but will require a close above $1632.8 before interim sentiment turns more bullish."

SIM, That would certainly be

SIM,

That would certainly be in keeping with predictions on this board, ie. that past the first week of January we will see declines at least for a few weeks.

euro holding, PMs consolidating

e - 1.2780 - 1.28

s - 29.15

g - 1617

Holding last little longs and looking for more when this profit taking subsides i.e. when it stops going down and starts coming back up.  I see 1590 and 28.50 as crucial lines today, not disimilar from Turd's I realise which can't be a bad thing as we have different ways of coming to the same place, much like finding the higgs-boson at the LHC! Maybe that's what all this 'de-coupling' is about...:)

I'll probably buy much sooner than this, but these levels will be my test of short term trend strength.  A sharp dip and reversal below won't bother me, but if there's a protracted drive downwards, fun's over for the time being.  If this light Asian selling diminishes and we work sidewaysish to London open (spike down into the open would be ideal) then start to see some movement, I could easily see 1650-75/30.50-31 in the pits.  After that... Monday, Monday, la la, la la la.

The other way?  Inverted H&S with 1560/28 the next shoulder?  Complete the cup handle down to 1525/26(.50)?  Should know by mid next week.  Capital F the news.  I've got two eyes on the charts and my sixth sense groping the underworld for feelings on the FOMC 24th/25th.  Price is king and the high priests have their bloodied hands on the levers.

Exciting times.  I for one look forward to looking back on this time - summer sea-breeze wafting in, my little boy learning to crawl, a bunch of close friends just back from a stint on the continent...  Good luck to all, keep your wits about you and you won't have to go looking for them in the dark.
