I'm working with folks on my block

The best thing I have used is fresh baked bread or cinnamon rolls. That will open almost any heart. Of course I live in Idaho and we still have that option. It's a bit different in some other areas.  Extras from the garden or trying out new recipe. All kinds of ways to make contact. If they slam the door in your face you got your answer about them as well. Always best to know before SHTF rather than after.

I've also found that "saving money" idea rather than the Mad Max scenario works a lot better.  LOL

Great Ideas

Great ideas, Adventures!  I  share your spirit and hope to grow in my generosity.  Still learning.

Warning to you and others with open hearts:  http://cyberpaths.blogspot.com/

Have found that not everyone shares this nature to nurture.  If you are trained to remain open in the face of such things and recognize them and accept them for what they are the damage can be minimized.  I'm speaking of working with the mind, our own.  An open heart can heal the world, I believe,  however much heartache can occur if the mind is not prepared for such encounters.

Be Blessed.

I'm an optomist

I tend to be a very positive person.  But if I don't get a bit of a smile and an bit of payback I know what that person is and what they believe. I'll come over and risk getting that door slammed in my face, because I want to know where you stand.  I promise to treat you with all the same care and concern that you treated me.  Karma can be a bitch sometimes.
