Best place to buy junk silver dimes online?

Gents,

Best place to get the best deal on 50 or 100 piece rolls of junk silver dimes?

Eisenhower or Mercury.  What will work best for barter when the SHTF in  a couple of month or to the end of next year?

Was looking for BU but I don't think the extra premium is worth it?

Eisenhower Dime

If you find an Eisenhower dime, you will be rich!  wink

Actually, the are Roosevelt dimes.  Ebay was a good place to look before silver started climbing.  Then, everyone thought they were gold dimes rather than silver.  But, with the recent drop, maybe the sellers have come back to earth.

I know I had some "Best Offers" on some as well as some other items but jump on their and retracted them and offered less to match what silver was doing.  In all cases, the sellers had their floor higher than my new offer (which was more than fair considering it's "junk" silver).

I noticed it is all still for sale.

I sure can't wait until eBay allows Mr Rebate to come back.  That extra 3% sure helps!

If you want just dimes then

If you want just dimes then you're probably best going to your local coin shop. For junk silver in general, there is an eBay seller "gti2" that sells 8oz for $270 currently. That is slightly under spot by my reckoning. This seller is who I buy from and I've been happy with all my deals. Good luck!

Franklin Halves 90% (AU)

Anyone have a opinion what a 20 coin roll is worth approx.?

I'm looking to buy a roll at APMEX and they want $334.99

How much silver is in one $.50 piece? And why do they refer to them as $10 Franklin Halves? Am I missing something obvious. http://www.apmex.com/Product/26361/10_Franklin_Halves___90_Silver_20_Coin_Roll_AU.aspx

They are actually up to $35.10 last I checked.

Halfs...

Hey Dark Purp...

They are talking 'bout 20 Half Dollars in a roll, that's $10.00 Face Value.

They contain just a bit under a half ounce silver each. Nice Coins.

Just use the coin calculator Coinflation.com

APMEX is a rip because their shipping kills any "deal" in such a small quantity.

$10 is the face value of a $.50 20-coin roll, silly boy. ;)

I have a few hundred Franklin's, 64 Kennedy's and Standing Libs...all bought on eBay...only paid over spot maybe a few times, even for BU rolls. A lot of times sellers a looking for a quick sale, so once you're there check "time: newly listed" and search the BIN auctions. I see them at spot quite a bit.

Thanks...$10...Duh!

I still might get them.  I have no real junk silver.

Just some ASE's and some  1/2 oz. rounds and some 10 oz. bars.

I like the way the Franklin Halves look and with silver bound to go up I don't mind paying a bit more to have them in hand. Their shipping is $10.

I'll check the website outyes

That works out to be a hair over $41 oz., about $2 over spot.  If anything, I hope he is shipping for free.
