Therefore the above data was revised to match the package sizes that are currently available for sale. A list of the changes appears at the very end of this article in the "Revision History." This changed the total price from $1,671 to $1,768.

Local food inflation I think not?

I have been paying for the real price of real food since 2007.  My milk has always been $5.00 a gallon, my eggs have always been $3.50 a dozen, cheese $5. a pound, hamburger $5. a pound, butter $11. per lb..  All this stuff comes to me from less then 30 miles away.

None of it was subsidized through taxation, therefore, my food is in a direct relationship with the price of oil which gets the food and me to the market.
