Bag of Gold

You will enjoy it more for having waited.  I just read it last month - couldn't put it down, and I too had been hearing about it and intending to read it for years.  Enjoy.

Oremex Resources...

It appears there may be a nice surprise for Oremex Resources (V.ORM) shareholders!...As some...or many of you may be aware of...Oremex Resources name has changed to Oremex Silver (V.OAG)...& Oremex Resource shareholders...will also be getting additional shares of Oremex Gold (V.OAU)...when all of the changes have been done!...Oremex has recently done a spinoff of their gold resources!...Management has informed me Oremex Gold should be up & running soon...& when everything is completed...the silver & gold shares will show up in your brokerage accounts!...There was no mention of whether US shareholders will get the additional spinoff gold shares...but my assumption is...the same will hold true!!!...

Very nice...indeed!!!...

I like this news, Oremex is one of my largest holdings, why this stock is still at .22 makes very little sense to me.

I could say the same with most of my current PM miners, including Oremex. Mr. Market has been extremely irrational in this regard for several months now. Unfortunately, as they say, the market can remain irrational longer than i can remain solvent. crying

Kitco Question

I've never visited over there, but I've seen more than one reference to forced leaves of absence. Is it for making fun of Nadler? How does the boot work over there?

If that is true then I am screwed. Even if my positions go to 0, I will remain solvent, unhappy but solvent.

Northern Tiger

NTR hitting new 52 week lows. Last of the 30c warrants came due in august (when the stock was 50c) and were exercised bringing another 1 million or so shares on the market that are now dumped. Hopefully this is the end of the selling.

Hi,

I'm not sure whether Focus Gold was discussed previously.

It seems interesting, not too many shares outstanding, exploration in Europe, Canada & Mexico.

Though trading today close to one year low...

Paragon Minerals great drill result

Picked up 150k of this little junior after the news yesterday. Their best drill result to date, PARAGON DRILLS 7.0 METRES OF 1.65% COPPER, 12.74% ZINC, 3.27% LEAD, 185.75 G/T SILVER AND 10.13 G/T GOLD AT SOUTH TALLY POND

That is over 1300$ per tonne rock. This is of course right next to Teck's operating  Copper/Zinc mine at Duck's Pond.

That hit better than anything at Teck,s mine. They have to be licking their chops looking at the grades right next door.

THE 10.13 gpt AU is the real kicker.

Here is the nr

Note that other holes hit decent mineralization as well, and this is not too deep for openpit. Grades are very, very economical.

Paragon Minerals drills seven m of 1.65% Cu at Tally

2011-09-15 06:25 ET - News Release

Mr. Michael Vande Guchte reports

PARAGON DRILLS 7.0 METRES OF 1.65% COPPER, 12.74% ZINC, 3.27% LEAD, 185.75 G/T SILVER AND 10.13 G/T GOLD AT SOUTH TALLY POND

Paragon Minerals Corp. has provided a further update on drilling activities and results on the 100-per-cent-controlled South Tally Pond volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) project in central Newfoundland. The South Tally Pond VMS project is located adjacent to the producing Duck Pond copper-zinc (Cu-Zn) mine operated by Teck Resources Ltd.

A total of 14 step-out and infill drill holes (3,450 metres) have now been completed on the Lemarchant main massive sulphide zone. The drill program has further outlined and expanded the massive sulphide mineralization intersected from sections 101N to 104N. The Lemarchant Main massive sulphide zone extends over 300 metres, remains open up dip and to the south, and is interpreted to continue down-dip in the fault displaced lower felsic block. The Main massive sulphide zone has been intersected at vertical depths of 150 to 220 metres.

"Drilling at Lemarchant continues to encounter significant thicknesses of base metal massive sulphides and we are very encouraged by the presence of high-grade precious metals," said Michael Vande Guchte, president and chief executive officer of Paragon Minerals Corp. "With the drill program now complete, Paragon will look to produce a preliminary NI 43-101 resource estimate on the Main massive sulphide zone."

Highlights of the drilling include extending the Main massive sulphide zone 35 metres farther up-dip to the west (to 140 metres wide) on sections 103+00N and 102+50N and extending the massive sulphide mineralization down-dip 35 metres on Section 101+00N. Drilling completed on the central portion of the Main massive sulphide zone has also returned some significant precious metal grades with six drill holes featuring visible gold. Assay results for drill holes LM11-63 to LM11-68 have now been received and are shown in the table.

Drill holes LM11-59 to 62 shown were reported in news release dated Aug. 25, 2011.

LM11-63 is located between LM10-43 and LM11-52; LM11-64 is located 35 metres up-dip
of LM11-52; LM11-65 is located 35 metres down-dip of LM07-13; LM11-66 is located 25
north of LM11-65 and was diked out through the projected mineralized zone; and
LM11-68 is located up dip of LM07-14. Drill hole intervals are core length and
interpreted to be near true width.

Additional details of the drilling will be available on the company website. A National Instrument 43-101-compliant resource estimate is being planned for the Lemarchant Main zone and anticipated to be completed in 2011. Assay results for the remaining four drill holes (LM11-69 to LM11-72) are pending. Paragon would like to thank the government of Newfoundland and Labrador for its continued support of this project through a financial contribution from the junior exploration assistance program.

Qualified person

David A. Copeland, MSc, PGeo, exploration manager for Paragon Minerals is a qualified person as defined by NI 43-101 and has reviewed and approved the contents of this news release. Samples were analyzed for Au (one-half assay ton), silver, copper, lead and zinc at Eastern Analytical Labs in Springdale, Nfld., from sawn NQ-sized half core sections. Data quality is monitored through the insertion of control samples consisting of one prepared base and precious metal standard and one blank sample for every 20 samples of diamond drill core. Control samples conformed to the accepted contained grades of base and precious metals. Sample pulps were shipped to ALS Chemex in North Vancouver, B.C., for analysis for 33-element ICP analysis on all samples and for further check assays of significant base and precious-metal-bearing samples.

PGR has apporx 53 million shares OS, this is a microcap, with big upside. Last at .13

Got out the casey ore converter

Hole 61 that is the headline drill , had that 7 metres of rich ore within an 18 metres section that had about 559$ rock value per tonne. Terrific numbers. I went on and looked at the longer drill result of 27 metres in hole 63, it was even better over the length of the 27 metres ( longer) and had 578$ rock per tonne value. These add up quick when making a resource report. I think this looks very economical. Metallurgy will be another question down the road, but the fact that Teck resources is mining right next door, ( Duck's Pond) with similar ore and is economical , suggests the metallurgy wont be a problem.

PGR looks cheap at about a 7 million $ market cap.
