dum de dum, range-bound action in a tightening formation. Waiting is such a bore, but it is the heart of the game.
I don't know how this community trades, I am just a little fish trading on Bullionvault. I am 75% invested in PMs, equally between gold & silver. I wish I had weighted it more to silver, but the GSR might offer some opportunity to switch. I will continue converting gold to silver if and when the ratio goes above 56. I will convert the other way, starting at 45.
I am 25% cash; I booked some profits along the way these last months on the intermediate highs, I am short term bearish, and hope to pick up some bargains soon. Because I trade on BV, I think in prices per kilo. Silver is currently 740 euro per kilo, and I become a buyer at 716. In dollars we are at $1000 / kg, and I start buying at $970. In GBP, we are at £640, and I am a buyer at £626. These are not huge gaps, but they are always just beyond what is an ever tightening range. So I wait.
Sometimes the metals are static in dollars, but currencies move and create opportunities, so I use all three currencies available on BV.
And I hate being out of dry powder. I am a buyer all the way down to $19 for silver, in three currencies. I don't expect it to get to $19, but could there be a worse scenario than to be gifted such an opportunity, and have no ammo?
GLTA!
