Loyal or Stupid, not sure which :-)
Funny story
Leafs use to have a defenseman years ago named Dave Elliot. Yet my wife never knew his first name, cause all she ever heard yelled out of the T.V. room was Fuckin Elliot

Was super windy here yesterday but in the 40s all day until the evening... Only supposed to be highs in the single digits here next couple of days which isn't too unusual... But yes, very mild winter so far, temps higher and snow almost non-existent... Drought is still mild here but I am keeping an eye on this as I do not want to plant a big garden if I have to spend my $ to keep it watered...
I suffer migraines, usually sinus/weather related and only thing that works is Advil Cold/Sinus for which I must prove that I am not a meth maker... Guilty until proven innocent...![]()
Glad you liked the smiley.... Good news, finished repairing ceiling fan so scratch that off the list... lived to tell about it...![]()
The little girl, who had just started to read her book, replied to the total stranger, "What would you want to talk about?"
"Oh, I don't know," said the atheist. "How about why there is no God, or no Heaven or Hell, or no life after
death?" as he smiled smugly.
The atheist, visibly surprised by the little girl's intelligence, thinks about it and says, "Hmmm, I have no idea." To which the little girl replies, "Do you really feel qualified to discuss why there is no God, or no Heaven or Hell, or no life after death, when you don't know shit?" And then she went back to reading her book.
66, are you a full-on citizen of Leafs Nation? By that I mean: do you say, "We"? If so, are you taking anything for this condition?![]()
On of the reasons for the irrational market of 2007/8??

Bettany Hughes visits Crete to recount the story one of the greatest archaeological discoveries ever made.
The tale of the Minotaur and the Labyrinth is perhaps the most compelling of all Greek myths. Just over 100 years ago, English archaeologist Arthur Evans went to the 'Minotaur's Island' to explore the roots of this myth and discovered instead a sophisticated Bronze Age civilisation that had been lost to history for thousands of years.
He called them The Minoans, and the riches of their culture astonished the world, prompting Evans to proclaim them the first civilisation of the Western World.
But was this view unduly romantic? Recent archaeological discoveries have added fascinating layers of complexity to the picture originally painted by Evans.
The Minoan civilization was a Bronze Age civilization that arose on the island of Crete and flourished from approximately the 27th century BC to the 15th century BC. It was rediscovered at the beginning of the 20th century through the work of the British archaeologist Arthur Evans. Will Durant referred to it as "the first link in the European chain." The early inhabitants of Crete settled as early as 128,000 BC, during the Middle Paleolithic age. However, it was not until 5000 BC that the first signs of advanced agriculture appeared.
Haven't read this book myself yet but it appears to be getting some decent reviews. It appears to be more about anthropology than economics as a whole but what is economics but a product of what humans do.

In October, we'd have a division party of about 100 to 150 people celebrating years accomplishments. But mostly our softball season. They have beautiful rooms inside. We'd higher the best private caterers. Extravagant fare. Give the party a theme like Harvest Moon. Rent the building for the night. Open bars, giveaways and an awesome band. We would spend up to 150,000 grand on a party. You can do the math per person. Big Pharma money. The bands might get paid 30 -40 grand to play one set. We could probably hire Earth Wind and Fire if we wanted. Actually, we sponsored their tour one year.
That was the extravagance of the 90's and the benefit of charging all of you lots of money for your arthritis drugs.
A little Earth Wind and Fire caught on somebodies video cam or Iphone. George Benson makes a little guest appearance playing somebodies guitar, that ain't no Benson Gibson or Ibanez Model whatever he plays. I don't know guitars but I know that ain't it. The one on the video doesn't even look good on him.

Was -39 here the other day (Manitoba) with the wind chill. That is what it "feels" like when you factor in the cold wind for you warm weather types who aren't familiar with the concept.
Used to hate winter until I got a snowmobile. Now I just go with the flow. Still looking forward to summer with you Lt. Col. K.

We do have it pretty easy down here compared to you real northerners... -40 wind chill is pretty uncommon here but it has happened a few times...
I used to look forward to winter when I was younger...
Not anymore...
But in order to make lemonade from lemons here - when the temps get back to the normal range of 25-35 it will feel like a heat wave!
The World War II story of the British Navy's effort to defeat Nazi Germany's most powerful warship.

Mankind's quest for distilling spirits or brewing beers and making wine etc.and enjoying them over history is almost a primal instinct it seems. It's an art form of sorts.

...in here. No shortage of sports on and I'm about to return to it.
Still having a heck of a time posting from the new tablet and at this point I think it's not syncing up or compatible with the sites messaging system or whatever its referred to as. I'm not tech savvy like that but it's probably very explainable and I'll call Samsung soon to see what setting or mode I should be in. Otherwise I love the tablet but I see a ultr- thin laptop or something similar in my future.
I just posted on Main St. from mostly the tablet earlier and what a chore it was and a bit helter- skelter in composition from the way I had to try to so it.
I'm on my son's laptop cleaning up the wreckage from it. ttyl
