Finally, a TFMR Bullion and Coin Affiliation

It has been over a year in the making but it is finally ready.

So many of you have supported my efforts and you know how grateful I am for each donation and pageview. To recap, after the initial success of the blogspot site, I rather sheepishly began to include Google ads after about a month. (http://tfmetalsreport.blogspot.com/2010/11/very-encouraging-day.html) Almost immediately, it was suggested that I add a "donate" button so that people could freely give money to the site. I thought this was crazy but I did it anyway and hundreds of you have generously donated your hard-earned money in support. It was then also suggested that I establish a bullion and coin affiliation. The thought from several Turdites was: "I buy bullion and coins all the time. With an affiliation, at least TFMR could benefit from my purchases". This sounded like a reasonable idea, too, so I went off in search of the ideal company with which to partner.

Before I go on, let me state this clearly: There are a multitude of very good companies out there. Some, like Provident, advertise on this site and this new partnership should not discourage you from their services. They do a great job and should always be a part of your physical metal purchase process. That said, I had to pick one so, after significant due diligence, I settled upon Gold Bullion International. For background on GBI, you can check them out here: http://www.bullioninternational.com/. You may also recall this FOFOA piece which I first linked back in September of last year: http://fofoa.blogspot.com/2011/08/treasure-chest-2-game-changer.html

But then there was a problem. GBI was working on several other corporate initiatives at the time and was not ready yet for a retail affiliation with little ole Turd. I could have gone the easy route and moved on but that wouldn't have been the honest thing to do. I wanted to work with GBI so I was forced to wait. And wait. And wait. And wait some more.

Along the way, a retail platform emerged. For scale and efficiency, GBI decided to develop what they call the "Hard Assets Alliance". By going this route, GBI was able to offer affiliation services to a whole host of websites similar to TFMR. Today, I'm happy to announce my affiliation with the Hard Assets Alliance and I hope you will give it your consideration.

First things first, however. Please take 15 minutes to listen to the attached podcast. I'm joined by Ed D'Agostino of Hard Assets Alliance and Joe Yasinski of GBI (he's a Turdite, by the way). Hopefully, the podcast will answer many of your initial questions. Then, please head over to the HAA site. You can use this link:

http://www.hardassetsalliance.com/clk/cl/11/?affid=TFM&guid=&cid=

There's also a permanent ad for the service that I'm placing on the right side of the homepage. Clicking either the link or the ad will direct you to HAA and tag you as a referral from TFMR.

Thank you all for your continued support of the site. I hope you find this new service to be beneficial for all your stacking and preparation needs.

While we are discussing lawyers

The three guys died on the same day and went up to heaven, a priest, a rabbi and a lawyer. St Peter welcomed them heartily and said, "I'll take you to your mansions now. Hop in the chariot." They glided along golden streets until they cam to a nice little place and stopped. The lawyer moved to the exit, but Peter turned right to the priest and said, "Here we are, enjoy!" They went a few blocks further and entered a really nice area stopping in front of a bigger house. The lawyer started to get out again, but Peter said, Nope, this is the Rabbi's home." As just Peter and the lawyer continued, they went up a hill into a posh area overlooking the lower neighborhoods. The lawyer thought he saw famous people from the history books--John Wesley, Ghandi, Mother Theresa--out in their yards. Finally they stopped at a stunning mansion! Pete said, Here we are!" but the lawyer hesitated and asked, "Peter, sir, I don't get it. That priest and that rabbi just got those little houses. Surely they were more righteous than I, serving God all their lives. I simply got scared when that minister came to my hospital bed a few minutes ago and prayed with him. Why do I get this big house?" Peter replied, "Oh, that. Well those kind of guys, priests, rabbis, preachers, we get them up here all the time, but you are the first lawyer we've ever had!

@Maryann

Great story! The young are not stupid. They've been handed a seriously raw deal and we will be lucky if they don't throw us all under the bus when they realize what we did to them.

On the "meanness and intimidation" note, you have a point. Being called a moron by a parasite from the shadows tends to happen here.

Anyone read Barron's today,

Anyone read Barron's today, they have a story about AIG, and have a stock chart up, but they never put the reverse stock split adjustment in the chart.

The fake chart of AIG stock looks good by their measurement, all I can say is Barron's is pure junk.  They even mention a 3 year average return of 36%, talk about telling very little of the true story.

Interesting

http://www.tcetoday.com/latest%20news/2012/august/new%20catalyst%20for%20total%20methane%20combustion.aspx

"RESEARCHERS in the US and Europe have developed a new palladium catalyst which ensures the complete combustion of methane, a potent greenhouse gas.

Methane is a very stable molecule and the best catalysts currently available, which consist of palladium nanoparticles deposited on oxides such as cerium oxide, can only ensure complete combustion at temperatures of at least 600°C and beyond 800°C in a power station gas turbine. However, whilst ensuring that no methane enters the atmosphere, high temperatures cause the formation of other damaging byproducts, such as nitrogen oxides, sulphur oxides and carbon monoxide.

The team of chemical engineers and chemists, based at the University of Pennsylvania, US, with collaborators from Italy's University of Trieste and the Universidad de Cádiz in Spain, says that its catalyst, also based on palladium, works at temperatures of around 400°C, and is 30 times more efficient. It offers a way to reduce emissions from vehicles which run on natural gas and means that the maximum amount of energy can be gained from gas burned in turbines."

I think I'll put this in the good news category. Kinda light on that these days.

though if Obama is allowed a second term, I expect their are no more chances to save this republic from financial slavery, the obama 2nd term  list of mbo's will seal America's fate.  I do not imagine Mr. Romney fixing anything,  though he stands as our best chance at possibly buying the republic a few more years of time to awaken masses and hopefully enable others who cherish liberty to get off their dead asses and make a contribution. you are correct American Politics is clearly the best show on earth, so keep a few kernels in reserve for this years Really Big Show!

Just thought I would say.  For the last month I have seen your posts and they are highly intelligent.  (I wish I undersood half of them)  But, one thing I have noticed here that someone can go from "Hero to Zero" on this site  in a heartbeat.   Most of the people bashing  you are not worthy of an answer.  The Proverb says "sometimes it's better not to respond"  .  This might be that time.

Another Efficiency Improvement

This time in ore recovery:

http://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/32238/arian-silver-expects-better-recoveries-from-switch-to-new-mill-32238.html

"It will have 25 per cent higher capacity than the previous mill and be able to process separate concentrate streams, unlike the previous mill which had only one bulk concentrate stream.

Jim Williams, Arian’s chief executive, said this will improve recoveries of silver from Arian’s ore and also mean higher quantities of zinc and lead credits.

He said: “The best achievable recovery of silver at the previous toll mill was circa 60 per cent in trial milling, indicating some 40 per cent of value was going to waste."

This guy wishes he chose allocated silver

"A man from Chilliwack says he is traumatized after he was punched, stabbed and tied up by home-invading thieves who made off with his life savings in silver bars.

The two thugs, wearing what he described as fake police uniforms, unloaded a vault and spirited away with $750,000 in silver the man had bought as an investment last year.

The 52-year-old victim, still shaking after the robbery on Feb. 9, now wonders who among his friends or acquaintances might have been behind the brazen midday theft."

"The two thugs, wearing what he described as fake police uniforms, unloaded a vault and spirited away with $750,000"

If I could afford to invest $750,000 in silver I would have bought doors and windows that required a battering ram to breach, surveillance cameras and some serious firepower.  Even if real cops showed up at the door they'd have to slide the warrant under the door before I even considered opening it.

The other option would be not keeping it in your house.

Another thing is to keep your damn mouth shut.  I've been guilty of violating that one, but only my employer, my landlords and the state know where I live.

My stack is starting to get big enough that I am considering breaking it into smaller stacks an burying it along my escape route.

I tell ya one damn thing.

I put in 2200 miles on I40 this week and I have never seen so much military equipment with wheels and tracks being transported to where ever from where ever for whatever reason . I suppose its time for supreme command to paint them green again as the current desert sand color is well used and faded.Oh well  I think I will fire up the cub cadet and the grill grab a bud light  and mow my well fed Bermuda while my Dominique chicken is soaking in the marinade. Later after dark after dinner  I trust the persed meteor shower and a little vodka and OJ will be entertainment enough. Oh yea I got to que up a little David Gilmore and the boys to set the tone and I don't have to worry about disturbing the neighbors because there are none.  Life is good today in the south.

I don't want to get into a pissing contest with Dagney because she could probably beat me whether she is sitting or standing. She is also  highly educated and more wealthy than I. But enough is enough. When she showed up on the scene she was smart, cute, and risque in a friendly way. She replied with endearing posts to fellow posters. She showed knowledge about the markets and manipulation. Then she started to get edgy and aggressive. Not that her advise was wrong, but I take exception in the way that she delivered it.

I am getting tired of hearing grown men whine like little girls. If its so hard to watch, for God's sake, hedge with a long ZSL or short AGQ, take those profits, and raid the LCS. If you lose this paper, FINE. All that means is the price is rising and soon anybody (that matters) will not care about the monopoly fiat.

What will a couple of dollars matter in the end?

Do you have something to say? Say it and stop acting like a little girl. I've lurked Turd's websites consistently for a couple of years and didn't see the need to add anything to the dialogue. Then nerves were being tested and Turd was being attacked. And I have a serious problem when good people have to waste their time with parasites.  For the record what do you know about Ayn Rand or me? Yes Ayn would have loved to see the rational use of PMs in a monetary role. That's so profound! Did google tell you that? Oh, but, wait for it......

You can ignore reality. But you cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.

This is the reality for now whether any of us like it or not. It will change when it's time to. But what's the use? The ignore button allows people to remain in their cozy paradigms so they don't have to entertain the absurdities of mankind out of chance that they may just be the one setting the standard.

I've noticed too that guys with penis-envy tend to hate strong women. Just an observation that may or may not be the underlying issue here.

After reading that one I have lost my patience to continue.  I now point your attention to one of the newer posts. Now remember, she is here to protect the Turd.

@ Turd

Along the lines of what bestever said, regarding auditing: Bernie Madoff made out fictitious statements to his clients. Also they use one of the "Big Four" international audit firms? Since when did they regain credibility? Finally, for "security reasons", I'm not allowed to personally see my assets in their vaults? Whose gold bar did Bob Pisani hold up inside the supposed GLD vault?

Sorry, not convinced. We've seen and heard it before and it won't be me who plays sucker. But I do hope we finally see someone make these claims and turn out to be legit.

Fine with me. This entire paragraph of yours is nonsense:

"Along the lines of what bestever said, regarding auditing: Bernie Madoff made out fictitious statements to his clients. Also they use one of the "Big Four" international audit firms? Since when did they regain credibility? Finally, for "security reasons", I'm not allowed to personally see my assets in their vaults? Regarding seeing your gold. You apparently didn't bother to listen to the podcast, either. GBI will either ship it to you or store it for you. If you choose to go see it and pick it up, you schedule an appointment and get it done. It's that simple.

As I mentioned above, if you don't like it, don't use it. Just don't try to force an agenda while making me out to be some kind of brainless stooge or shill.

@ Turd

Nobody's forcing anything. Just stating what I read in their own FAQs for those who don't read and only want to watch the podcast. What is said and what is in writing are different. Written terms also do carry more legal weight than spoken ones.

Again I hope they are legit.

Turd Ferguson's picture

And by doing so

MODERATOR

You infer that GBI might be a ponzi scheme and that I am complicit in the fraud.

Thanks.

Response to: @ Turd

I would ask all in the community including the members, the moderators and even Turd himself to pay special attention to those in bold. If members are not adhering to the rules they should not be ignored.

I am sure I am in for a good rebuttal, maybe deservedly so. But I am not posting this to get into a debate. All I know is I have been around here long enough to know that more than 80% of the members here are not good, but great sharing people. I don't have to agree with everyone's views, but as long as they are presented respectfully they are of value.
