Cold frosty one to celebrate our 2-day winning streak. And an especially hearty greeting to Peckerwood- anybody who drops by the Speak to spill some drinks and tell us to "bugger off" earns a Guinness on my tab.
Yep, ditto all of the above. Oh and here is the latest weather report for Richmond, for those that live there.
Enjoy the rise in metals but it will have to come back towards us as some point.

Based on a true story...
Metals and miners been kicking ass for three days running and half the folks on Main only go there to listen to themselves bitch, bitch, bitch.
F*ckers ain't going to ruin my 4th of July.
Happy 4th, early, will be out of pocket rest of the week.
Caught Chris Robinson Brotherhood Sunday night, excellent show, check em out if they come to your hood:
Regarding the new site: podcasts, of course, are excellent. Turd being turd. The site itself however doesn't hold a candle to this place. To the tune of, as a believer myself, I haven't caught every podcast despite paying for them. Still prefer the diversity of opinion and rich community here. Both are cool. Wish he'd just done a premium level here for the podcasts, I think that would make things a bit easier.
it is gettin' a little chippy on mainstreet lately, especially nights, weekends and holidaze . . . U.S. time that is.
God Bless the Speak. And the US of A.
The beer is always free and the waitress is tireless.
How is it possible to carry that many brews?

She looks like she might need some additional help for this group.

from the sands of time
Right outside this . . . lazy summer home
RaRa's boyfriend is at it again :)
Turn up the sound.
How can I stay mad when there's a hot blondie with an armload of beers looking for me?
New York Strips on the menu for tomorrow.

Nice to see Pining back in the house
and a "Welcome to peckerwood!"
Sounds like your batteries are recharged and raring to go. That's always a good thing.
I don't think I ever saw or noticed a slowdown in the economy around me where I live. From what I saw at malls/restaurants around me and the car dealership the past year (dealerships super busy) I see people spending freely. Except in the real estate market. Prices in my area are strong and steady but the over all volume of sales is low. I've also noticed many more higher end homes going on sale.
I'm expecting a 2nd wave of real estate trouble to still happen. I'm also noticing lots of loose credit starting to get offered around the past year and especially the past 3-6 months with much of centered around super low variable rate loans that will suck a whole new generation into thinking that ZIRP (and low variable rates) will be around for a long time. We know that won't be the case and many new borrowers will become the 3rd wave at some point down the road. We're still in that same cycle.
I haven't been to TTM yet but plan on doing so. It sounded like it had a few kinks to work out in the beginning but from the lack of comments out on Main recently it sounds like it's running smoother. I plan on hanging on this site mainly and just visiting over there to see what's up and catch TF's daily talk.. Not sure what handle I may use over there.
I think generally that the site (and Speak) are slow because of what Murphy said. It's been so nice out and the markets are sideways or upside down that I think many of us are just waiting for the shoe to drop or the next leg up.
Were waiting for something because we all see something has to give somewhere. What I see is what Santa see's and that's the unraveling of the cloak of CB fraud, manipulation and MOPE that's becoming slowly unglued all over the place.
I think it's started.
Nice to see everyone on a Tuesday that feels like a Friday...just like EO said.
