First chance to get back
to the discussion regarding Rickards. Never meant to imply that it was he that was misleading....just that the agents of misinformation are out there and the discussion reminded me of the goats. I also like to think there are good goats in our midst too.... Frankly, I have trouble figuring out whether certain comments on the board are troll-like or just a contrarian point of view.
I've been reading all the guys you've mentioned and more for the past couple years and have kind of picked what seems like a reasonable path through the noise...as GL said...information overload abounds. I've read Rickards book, listen hard when Rick Rule speaks...like listening to Chris Martensons ideas, am working on the The Golden Revolution right now (nice recommendation RaRa)...don't mind KWN's cheerleading. What's wrong with cheerleaders?
In 2008 when it finally occurred to me something was very wrong and wasn't going to get easily fixed, I joined a ladies stock club and started reading like crazy. I figured I could lose my money as easily as the guys managing it...and, I've proven that I was right...I can lose it as easily as them. But, as least this time I'm getting educated.
All that reading lead me to ZH and I followed Turd here to the watchtower. I give this background because I was green and new when I found ZH, the "professionals" and this blog...
The guys and gals here have taught me just as much as the professionals and probably more. It's from people here that I've learned to pick my way through the information. You guys are very, very good. It's not just your analysis of the financial stuff and what's going on in the world. It has to do with the books recommended...history, economics, even the astrology, etc...All the interesting pieces of the puzzle....overload and brain candy.
And, after all the knowledge I have gained from lurking, trying to learn charts, and Bollinger bands, I can only share one thing...when Ampex emails me that they are having a sale, the price of gold and silver always goes down in a day or two.

is how this week seems to have felt. But Larry I hear ya! Murphy - couldn't give the person the TFMR web addy as we are not allowed to give advice - but boy did I have to bite my tongue :s DPH/IS7 good to see you back :)
My paper romance is almost over - new second hand hybrid petrol car & bikes for all the family now purchased. I'm so far down the stacking and prepping route now that I am stock-piling my lovely Dermalogica facial products (just cos the sh*t hits the fan doesn't mean you can't look after your face!) & watching the veg patch flourish with all the rain we've had. At least the hose-pipe ban is going to be lifted!

I have this album, LOL. My folks had it, and we always listened to it when I was a kid. I picked it out of the rubble when a tornado hit their house. I still have it. Years ago I put it on cassette, and sometimes I still listen to it when I take a sauna. I can't believe it's on youtube now!

Looks like a memorable TGIF and week-end it'll be. Everything seems primed for a memorable week end.
This market turnaround right now seems pretty unlikely except that the DXY has been all over the place the last 72 hours. They're using the USD/EUR like a volleyball in these markets.
I'm waiting to see the set-up and the spike at some point. Aren't we all?
