Is anyone interested in mining claims in AK?

Caveat emptor -- I know nothing about mining/panning or this specific offer, this is NOT MY AD. But it does feel good to find this kind of thing when looking for silver to buy:

http://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/for/2908740582.html

"We have several miles of attached claims on the Kougarok river about 90 miles inland from Nome, AK. We also have 3 groups of claims that are not directly attached to our main group....these are the ones we are selling...we're getting older and will not be able to mine all this land and since it does cost a yearly fee to keep these claims we are going to sell. As far as I've been able to find out these are the least expensive claims up in AK that haven't been mined out. I saw a few claims for about 7K that you can drive right to and throw your dredge in and mine....over the last 40 years ask your self, how many times have they been mined? Some of our claims had a bucket line dredge go through them in the 20' and 30's but we've found very good gold on bedrock where the old dredge ran.

We may only sell one of these three groups this year, for the reasons that the price is low (probably higher next year)....the parking at the road end is limited....we don't want a large crowd coming up there. So there is still time to make your plans to get up there this year but you can't wait much longer to get everything together. We aren't interested in any % deals or pay as you go deals. Prices are reasonable....it takes a bit more financial exposure to mine up there but that also is why there's still gold there. 360 427 5367"

On the subject of beachwear, as it is summer temperature in UK

Wrapping herself around the flag. That's what I call patriotic.

Putting on a show: Courtney Stodden set pulses racing as she roller skated along the beach last week in Los Angeles with husband Doug Hutchison

@EO - Nice Fractionals

I need to expand my gold fractionals....  right now, I buy the U.S. commemorative gold pieces when I can get them at melt....

I use to be able to do that on flea bay regularly.... it's getting more difficult..... people are either waking up or getting greedy or both... :-).... can't blame them.....

Maybe most of you have read

Maybe most of you have read this but I thought interesting. In the FOFOA article TF posted there were three links in the beginning going to other articles.

And for you noobs that weren't attracted like moths to a freeway headlight by this title, you can get up to speed here, here and here.

What I found very interesting was at the end of each article in the comments there were comments from Alf, Trader Dan, Jim Sinclair and Hugo Salinas. Nice to go back a number of years and see that these guys were on the money them.

@Caseret

You may have read it. In the full article he lambasts the politicians. I guess all his hope and change thing from 2008 didn't work out so well.

http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/cover-story-excerpt-bruce-springs...

"Hope and Dreams" and other songs on the album's second half seem to move from the personal and political to a sense of the spiritual.
Well, on the first half of the record, you're just pissed off. The first cut, "We Take Care of Our Own," is where I set out the questions that I'm going to try to answer. The song's chorus is posed as a challenge and a question. Do we take care of our own? What happened to that social contract? Where did that go over the past 30 years? How has it been eroded so terribly? And how is it that the outrage about that erosion is just beginning to be voiced right now? I've written about this stuff for those 30 years, from Darkness on the Edge of Town to The Ghost of Tom Joad through to today. It all came out of the Carter recession of the late Seventies, and when I was writing about that, my brother-in-law lost his construction job and went to work as a janitor in the local high school. It changed his life.

Middle of March, 70 friggin

Middle of March, 70 friggin degrees (F), everything is blooming, Insanity.  Polar Shift, or what?  I gotta go out and dig up the garden, and tune up the lawn mower, when most years we could still have snow.

Maple syrup season is screwed.  Apples are all fk'd up.  Bees and pollination is all messed up.  Don't know whether to plant corn, shit, or go blind....

Popping in for a quick beer.

Popping in for a quick beer. Man there is some utter shite going on on the main page (Turd notwithstanding). Pole shift crap and all kinds of "who da bad guy" bullshit. Boring the piss out of me.

Now they reckon North Korea or some other bollocks is going to kick off their nightmare dreams of the future. laughable. Sorry for the bluntness but there really is some utter shite being spouted.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, everyone seems to have forgotten that Greece votes to be under IMF auspices or tells em to go do one in a month or so. The rest of main street is just a bunch of bollocks recently.

Now all those nutters, leave me alone while I finish my beer in peace.

Can hear a pin drop in here

That's OK, because I don't mind drinking alone.  And, since my miners were up today, maybe I can afford some of the good stuff.
