Losing The Battle

Don't get me wrong. It's far from over and The Bullion Bank Cartel has certainly revealed their intentions this week. But cracks are already appearing and their situation appears somewhat tenuous.

Why do I say this? Check out the charts below.

Let's start with the other two precious metals. Not only has platinum turned back higher and is now just 1% away from another breakout but palladium is surging, too. In fact, palladium is making new highs today, blowing through last week's highs and reaching all the way to $888. With these other two metals seeing such continued buying interest, it makes it much more difficult for The Banks to continue (successfully) raiding gold and silver.

Now check out crude. Just when everyone thought the rally was over and price broke through $100, it reversed and is charging higher. No doubt Russia/Ukraine concerns and the worsening situation in Israel are "helping" but check out the clear trendline and higher lows. A move through and close above $103.00-103.50 will signal even more price rise ahead.

And, perhaps most importantly, how about the bond market? Both The Long Bond and the 10-year Note are within basis points of their low-to-date 2014 yields. Remember, this is very important as low rates make real rates even lower...and negative real rates are always a rationale for institutional investment in precious metal.

Of course, so far, we haven't yet seen a dramatic improvement and turnaround from gold and silver. They remain pressured as this current Cartel operation remains in place. However, continued strength in all the items mentioned above will lead to renewed strength in gold and silver. Watch the red lines on the charts below for clues to recovery and bounce back.

Finally, just a few other items to note....

Can anyone explain why Woody has decided to put even more sanctions on Russia? Did I miss something?? Last time I checked, the UAF were fighting and killing "terrorists" all over East Ukraine. Is Russia being penalized for not intervening? I don't get it.

Well, ole Vlad wasn't too amused by this and has since responded:

What in the name of Dr. Strangelove is going on here? Again, is Woody purposefully trying to provoke Russia and a larger fight? It sure makes me wonder...

Which leads me to this: http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2014-07-17/how-russian-hackers-stole-the-nasdaq We've discussed several times here about the distinct possibility of cyber attacks on the US financial "infrastructure". Well, here you go. No longer just science fiction. Again I ask, why? What is Woody/US trying to gain by poking more and more at The Bear and The Dragon?

It's hard to say for certain of course. One thing is certain, however...This all just makes me want to stack even more metal in my hidden bunker. I'll think I'll buy some more today.

Just for discussion's sake...

I don't know about this guy's credentials, but given the Alice in Wonderland world we seem to live in I am not ruling anything out. Off to buy a couple tubes of Ag today, peregrines and maples, and thinking of some more garden tools. Keep stacking and prepping. https://soundcloud.com/v-guerrilla/guerrillareport-071614  and Turd!

I think that at some level

I think that at some level the sanctions are being applied because of the BRICS bank. Although the move can't be made without China's finances, Russia has the smarts and has probably been pulling the strings to make this happen. Any other direct threats against the status of the dollar was previously met with a military response. Russia has been a thorn in this administration's military adventures throughout the ME, so this is just another escalation of the antagonism.

Woody's Actions

Woody is going to do whatever it takes to destroy the US sovereignty, transfer wealth to the elite, and make the NWO a reality.  That is why his decisions appear inconsistent to the best thing for a US President to do.  The US is not his objective.  See also actions of President's during last 50 years that work for the Central Banking System.

All things make sense if you know the objective.

Santions against Russia

The sanctions against Russia will have the same effect as the first sanctions. They will hurt the U. S.

I think 'Obama The Manchurian Candidate' explains what he is doing.

In reference to the Bloomberg

In reference to the Bloomberg article about Russian hackers in the NASDAQ - Looking at the charts for NDX and the other indices, mid 2011 is when the ramp up started. Up until then the markets were behaving somewhat normally and I was able to trade reasonably well with my own technical analysis. Once QE started everything I thought I knew blew up and I couldn't trade worth a crap anymore. Also note this is around the time of the great silver massacre.

I see an article like this trying to put blame on Russia that "forced" the Fed and the rest of the crooks to intervene in the markets. When the markets crash and when the metals soar again, and the US monetary policy is being shredded, they could have plausible cause, since "the Russians were messing with our markets at the time".

Ben Lawsky from New York was on cnbc talking about Bit-license - NY's new regulatory scheme for bitcoin.

He put out some real gems...

Simon asked him how the news regs would have prevented Mt. Gox from collapsing - he simply said he hoped the new regulations would have prevented it...and that the big banks suffer the same risks.

He was asked flat out if bitcoin could be anonymous. Short answer, no, "...law enforcement needs to be able to track down who used that bitcoin in that transaction..."

I know most here don't care, however for those that do there are new products coming online that will make bitcoin istself anonymous by breaking up transactions and getting payment to the person in a multi-stage process, fractions of bitcoins arriving from different accounts and locations to total the correct amount, effectively circumventing the ledger.

I invested in darkcoin as it makes much more sense to me to use a platform specifically designed to defeat the new threats posed by the IC and other as*hats.

Barfly's picture

I listened to the webcast. If you've followed this blog for any length of time, you will know I've talked about barium meals. There is no elite army of secret mercenaries with high tech weapons systems waiting to kill hundreds of thousands of Americans. There is no bio weapon that will kill vast numbers of Americans in major cities. This is propaganda. Consider that this is coming from some hotshot general who supposedly walked away. That, I can tell you from first hand knowledge of being in the military is the gut reaction of anyone serving to an order to turn their weapons on their fellow citizens. I was on a nuclear submarine. If we had received an order to fire cruise missiles on the US, the building that that order came from would likely get it instead. So I don't buy it. I think it's misinformation. It's a move of desperation on the part of the owners of a failing system. They wish they had a secret army that was absolutely loyal that would destroy it's own country. These are ravings of delusional sociopaths spreading misinformation to a member of the alternative media, who is dutifully scared and passes it on. If I had an ounce of silver for every time I heard of some story about some weekend in the near future that homeland security was going to institute martial law, I'd have to lease the largest vault on the planet.

And if it's real, I'm not going to worry about it, because I'm going to be dead very shortly.

P.S. Thank you for posting that. Keep it up. Even though I trashed the content, I find the information to be highly valuable, so please don't filter anything like that in the future that comes across your radar. Please pass it on.

gldslv's picture

In normal times I would say that you are right

These exiting generals spilling their guts stories  sound crazy but I also remember from the A2A with Dave Janda mentioning that Woody let something like a dozen generals go for not agreeing to fire on civilian populations if given the order.  You can also choose to ignore that as well.  If it is true, then replacing them with generals that will kill labelled terrorists even if they are USCs (US citizens) is not a stretch, is it?

A  very good friend of mine who trains incoming police officers is frightened as hell that new recruits are getting highly trained in domestic terrorism.   How or what constitutes a terrorist really is not up to them,  only to follow procedures once an order is given.  So from the first hire date they get the propanganda...to 'take out' or at least follow procedures against an individual or group with a  terrorist branding.  What difference does it make whether they are 'US citizens'? With the expanded  state controlled media  its getting harder and harder to find out the truth so anything that strikes out against any plans of the state has to be by alternative media and then you have too use your spider sense to decide what makes sense.

If you have a better explanation of how the border goes from being secure to 300K illegals in a month, 2+ billion hollow point round purchases, Mwrap distribution in local towns, paramilitary training for swat team expansion, I'm all ears.  I don't buy the story of excess military hardware....

Hat Tip!

Given how wrong this entire community, saving maybe one or two, predicting anything short term is pretty bold.  I think the only thing we can do is:

1) Keep to the big picture philosophy.  aka stack

2) Watch some of the historical early movers....when the hourlies start taking out look to the left highs, its on...

3) We are all going to be wrong.....for a while...

4)  There is so much price pressure sitting on this.....as pointed out- it is clear there were two moments that created current price....riiiiight........when the flood breaks it will be like the pictures of the indonesian tsunami....and it will likely come out of left field....wiki wiki what just happened...

its the end of the world and I feel fine........."

Malaysian 777 shot down over Ukraine/Russian border

Initial reports out of Russian interfax.

BNN reports airliner flying at 10 km then the dim sh** says it was low. Flight looks to have been Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur (but the report is obviously erroneous stating that the route is 50 miles before entering Russian airspace).

Seems only the US of Russia would be capable of shooting down the airline although it could have been a terrorist bomb. Looks like the economic war just heated up. Obviously more to come.

EDIT: I see its already here with the ZH link.

rl999's picture

Malaysian airline crashed in Eastern Ukraine

I completly disagree. I began my military career in basic units and ended it in far more advanced units. The biggest change was attitude. Going from a standard infantry unit to other types there were a few changes; the innate talent (physically, mentally) and drive of the individuals was higher, but the biggest change was the structure.

Orders in basic units were top down commands, "go to this place, do this, this is what you are taking, this is your timeline..." with little room for, or acceptance of deviation. In advanced units the mission meant that we all got together and had a discussion about how to best accomplish the mission. If you had an idea or suggestion you could feel free to put it forward, and then you had to defend it. Mission planning could be a difficult affair, and stupid ideas were destroyed. Things always change, and we were far more able to adapt to them on the fly.

I can tell you with absolute certainty that some people joined the armed forces so they could kill people. They would openly admit it without any fear or repercussion. That was before their unit took casualties. That type of event changed everyone. The normally calm and reasonable people did things to the locals that they would not have otherwise, and that is really the key to my argument. When bad things start to happen to "you and yours" the pretense of civility disappears instantly. Bombing mosques, using white phosphorous, shooting water barrels, destroying stores/goods/property. Everything was fair game.

This country seems to be very "team" oriented, red/blue, sports, "pride" in their high school, college, city/county/state, etc. The police I worked with had a distinct us vs. them mentality, and they really do say that "it is all about us making sure we go home to our families tonight". I truly feel that half of them are bad people, untrustworthy, manipulative (using their position and power to curry favors, reward friends, punish enemies, threaten, get freebies, harass the opposite gender, etc), lower than average intelligence/empathy/social development skills.

Out of the other half one or two might be a decent person, but they are surrounded by idiots and probably don't act the way they normally would. The others are what I would consider "normal", meaning they are sheeple misinformed by the mass media and prevailing social stereotypes.

The good news is that one or two officers can make a difference. My fto was a secret squirrel libertarian. Not until I had fully explained my views and beliefs and why did he basically say "I know, me too" and never really spoke of it again. Eventually I wound up working for him and he had a few others like me there. We wrote very few tickets, did a lot of community outreach, and tried to prevent crime.

Take a look at any protest in modern history. That is really all I should need to type to make my point. Who shoots who, who gets beat and gassed and sprayed. If you acted the way they did you would be in jail. Free speech zones wouldn't exist if they weren't enforced. Sound cannons and pain rays could sit on trucks un-used, but they aren't. Every one of those officers makes a choice to deploy their weapons. In everyone's personal experiences how often is restraint the weapon of choice?

I must have written about this a dozen times in my years at tfmr. The police are not your friends. Do not trust them, do not interact with them.

The "herd", "us vs. them" mentality is so strong with them that I don't think it can be broken/overridden. It was rarely more clear to me that they will absolutely shoot unarmed us citizens than during riot training. The way they treated each other was horrible. The way they used their shields, batons, and pepper spray was vicious. These were their friends, guys they saw most every day. Imagine what they will do to people they have no bond with, that are in their faces, perhaps taking actions against them. (You don't have to imagine, there are tens of thousands of documented cases of brutality and cover-ups.)

How did OWS end? Full on military raid at night. What was going on behind the scenes? Secret meetings between the banks, cops, and feds. I hope everyone learned that there was a plan to assassinate OWS leaders if needed.

People need to wake up. I did a poor job making my case, but this is to long already and it's not getting any better.

As far as secret conspiracies - none is needed. The tsa/dhs/insert stupid goon squad here will do what they are told. They don't need to know the big picture and never will. Militarization of our police of police is for our benefit. The ever increasing usage of swat raids for silly offenses is ok.

Barfly's picture

There's something you haven't factored in and I failed to mention. What about the guys who are smart enough to keep their mouth shut, say they will obey an unlawful order, and have the full intention of turning on whoever gives it when it comes. Because, I know those guys are out there as well. Honestly, martial law in this country would last about 10 minutes.

Surface to air missile is what bubble vision is reporting, calling it a BUK Missile.

Tmosely tweeted this link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buk_missile_system and says both Ukraine and Russia have these...

If this isn't a false flag then how does bubble vision already know it was a S-A-M and even have the model number?!

Kiev did this, they already have stated the type of weapon, the brand name, who owned it, and who fired it before an investigation has even begun.  They have motive too.  Their responses are too quick and show their hand......  So if it was Kiev then it was CIA.  What the fuck?!?!?!?!

Now Zerohege tweeting facebook link for Anton Gerashchenko, advisor to Ukraine ministry of internal affairs, he had story ready half an hour ago...

I enjoy "V". Interesting. Possible? Sure. What are you going to do? Go where?

Take over? How? Any spec operator will tell you the best way to fight a foe is get his foe to fight your foe....you set them up, false flag for example, get them in-fighting, and stay safe and warm at a safe distance. Come back in after they have done all your work...like MENA, today. That's what Victoria Nuland did in the Ukraine...

....or maybe you get those that are most qualified and equipped to run, GOOD....then go into Dodge...

SLW is a chipshot from taking out major price high to the left, just two days ago....btw...oops, now a gimme putt...f these f-ers!!!

Like I said, it will just happen, without warning, without reason, just happen...
slv has now taken out any "sale price" that occurred after the muggings on 7/14 and 15....regretful sales...

MH-17 a 777 shot down on 7/17.

17 + 777 + 7 + 17 = 818
8 + 1 + 8 = 17
1 + 7 = 8
818 + 17 + 8 = 843
8 + 4 + 3 = 15
1 + 5 = 6
6 x 11 = 666

And there, you have it.
