Absolutely ridiculous and comical nonsense. NO ONE should be attempting to trade gold and/or silver futures on the Comex. The WOPRs and The Cartel are completely in charge and every mutterance and headline sends a cascade of HFT orders based solely upon phraseology and syntax. THIS IS MADNESS! In the end, the fiat price of true money is left to shift in the wind, regardless of the underlying fundamentals. Therefore, THE ONLY ONES WITH A CHANCE are the regulars in Andy's Army. EVERYONE ELSE must avoid day trading at all costs. THE ONLY OPTION is to buy physical metal on paper metal dips and TAKE DELIVERY.

Have a nice weekend. TF

the germans n italians TRIED to have an empire......the US [at much cost -$ AND LIVES] threw them back

It always amazes me how some are so blinkered as to think America was "at the heart" and the "be-all & end-all" of WW2 & fighting/defeating those "nasty euro-asians"... I suggest you do some better research, perhaps starting with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wwii

I remind you :-

1) ... WW2 started in 1939, long before America deigned to join the fight (in its OWN national-security interests) several years later. ... and the USA spent that time profiting immensely by supplying goods to BOTH sides on a "Cash & Carry" basis.

2) ... America was late to both WW1 & WW2, and ONLY joined WW2 AFTER being directly attacked on its Homeland by the Japanese in Dec-1941.

3) .... During that 1939-1942 period, it was primarily "The Mouse That Roared" (= the UK) & its commonwealth/euro-asian allies that STOPPED, SLOWED, & RESISTED the advance of "That Era's" Evil Empire in a "David-v-Goliath" scenario ..... at great cost to the UK, and great profit to the American Financial-Industrial complex under America's "Cash & Carry in exchange for UK-Gold" terms.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_propaganda_during_World_War_II#Pro...

.

4) ... America actually lost VERY FEW Lives during WW2 RELATIVE to the lives lost by all the NON-EVIL "euro-asians" (that your post insults) in defeating the WW2-Evil-Empire  of the Germans+Italians+Japaneses .... You'll also notice that those dirty "euro-asian" Chinese & Soviets (that you denigrate) bore the vast brunt of the Lives Lost during WW2.

Quote:
[i got THREE DEAD UNCLES buried in europe.......how many NORWEGIANS are buried here trying to save ME?]

Just like your heroic Uncles, a hell of a LOT of NORWEGIANS (AND HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF OTHER "NASTY EURO-ASIANS" & AMERICANS) died in Europe & Asia in WW2 trying to save YOU and your family along with America & the Rest of The World from THAT "Evil Empire" ... Aproximately 0.32% of the entire population, which happens to EXACTLY MATCH the 0.32% of the (much larger) American Population which died due to WW2.

SOURCE :- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_casualties

I know of at least 60 of my own family members that died due to WW2 ... So I reckon your comment shows outstanding bigotry & ignorance on your part.

Furthermore, The first American military death in the European Theatre occurred on April 21, 1940, during the German invasion of Norway. Military attaché Robert M. Losey was killed during a German bombardment of Dombås while assisting with the evacuation of U.S. embassy personnel and others to Sweden.

rebuilt europe with its OWN MONEY ...

NOT out of altruism or charity, BUT on a Very Profitable Business Venture from Bank-Loans & Interest to the American Banking System .... IIRC, the UK finally paid its final "War Debt" payment to America in circa 2006.

Quote:
.......and kept another EURO-ASIAN country-[USSR] from invading europe for FORTY YEARS.

I wouldn't deny that could indeed have happened without America acting as an "umbrella protection" for Europe as a result of Europe's severe weakening due to WW2 ... BUT I also note the following points :-

1) ... America acted as it did post-WW2 out of its OWN National Security Interests for the SAME reasons it feared a Nazi/Jap victory creating an "unbeatable greater empire", NOT out of altruism for Europe ...

See :- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_Comes_to_America

Quote:
Towards the end the film argues in detail (to a backdrop of animated maps and diagrams) that American involvement in the war was essential in terms of self-defense. The dire consequences for the United States of an Axis victory in Eurasia are spelled out:
German conquest of Europe and Africa would bring all their raw materials, plus their entire industrial development, under one control. Of the 2 billion people in the world, the Nazis would rule roughly one quarter, the 500 million people of Europe and Africa, forced into slavery to labor for Germany. German conquest of Russia would add the vast raw materials and the production facilities of another of the world's industrial areas, and of the world's people, another 200 million would be added to the Nazi labor pile.
Japanese conquest of the Orient would pour into their factory the almost unlimited resources of that area, and of the peoples of the earth, a thousand million would come under their rule, slaves for their industrial machine.
We in North and South America would be left with the raw materials of three-tenths of the earth's surface, against the Axis with the resources of seven-tenths. We would have one industrial region against their three industrial regions. We would have one-eighth of the world's population against their seven-eighths. If we together, along with the other nations of North and South America, could mobilize 30 million fully equipped men, the Axis could mobilize 200 million.
Thus, an Axis victory in Europe and Asia would leave us alone and virtually surrounded facing enemies ten times stronger than ourselves.

2) ... Hitler's biggest mistake was in taking on a simultaneous second-warfront with the Soviets instead of focusing on Central Europe & Africa, and the Japanese likewise made the same mistake of taking on both China & America simultaneously .... It is largely due to the Chinese & Soviets fighting & soaking up so much of the German/Japanese war-effort that allowed the "Evil Empire" to be (eventually) defeated, So YOU & Yours (& Mine) should be extremely grateful to them for that, otherwise there was a damn good chance that America, Europe, & the rest of the world would have become "Evil Empire Colonies".

.

IN SUMMARY ... America WAS INDEED critical to WW2's defeat of THAT Evil-Empire, BUT NO MORE CRITICAL than the MANY "Euro-Asian" Nations, Countries, & Peoples that your original-post attempts to denigrate ... AND America effectively "came out the overall winner" of WW2 as it had suffered the least amount of damage to its resources & infrastructure relative to the "Euro-Asian" countries.

.

My apologies for the length of this post, but I did not feel I could let your wildly biased Original Post go unchallenged.

Since you address me directly

and with a heap of unnecessary sarcasm, given that I have been, I believe quite respectful, here goes:

I think numerology is nonsense.  The calendar we use is arbitrary and has been changed significantly in 2000 years.

And if you are genuinely not a religious person, and genuinely believe what you are posting, then it is even odder.  But you are posting essentially the same stuff again and again and there are forums to avoid arguments on the main page.

But I also don't think arguing about whether our commodities market is following biblical text is something we should be discussing here.  And I also don't think you should discuss it with me at all, but others might be interested, which is why

there are forums.

I really wish you'd stop with all of this "Bible shows a 1:1 GSR in the next 40 days nonsense."  There's ZERO reason to think the Bible shows this and I honestly think you're smoking crack and bringing the Bible and Christians a bad name.

I've brought up to you the point that the Feasts and "same day events" that you're heralding were based on a lunar cycle rather than the spring equinox (a solar event).  You have yet to address this issue and continue day after day spouting nonsense about a GSR 1:1 that the Bible "proves".  Hogwash.  You started your thesis by talking about the feasts in Exodus and the beginning of the month which you incorrectly attributed it to the spring equinox.  The word for "month" in the book of Exodus in the original Hebrew language meant "new moon"...it WAS NOT a solar event. The word used here is Hodesh and literally means "new moon".  So either address how you resolve this with the spring equinox, or please, just hush.

I also want to publicly challenge you with Deuteronomy 18:22...if this GSR 1:1 does not come to pass within the next 40 days, then we'll stop listening to you to rightly divide the word of truth.  Savvy?

Can someone explain this? What is the con/scheme/scam?

I was reading the Saturday morning report over at Harvey Organ's site.  It recounts the Comex action on Friday.  In it, Harvey mentioned an official deposit of exactly 630,000.00 ounces of silver to JP Morgan's vault.  Harvey doubted its veracity, calling it a "paper deposit".  He's said in the past that actual deposits of large bullion bars almost never come out to an exact round number like that because the bars aren't actually 500.00 ounces etc. .

Okay, fine.  But why is JP Morgan indulging in this particular bit of deception.  Mind you, I'm not doubting that JP Morgan is lying.  I'm trying to figure out exactly what the con/scheme/scam is.

It's not like JP Morgan feels the need to make that little extra pretense about holding the actual metal.  They've, purportedly, been perfectly satisfied to dump naked shorts into the Comex in the millions of ounces.  So that isn't it.

Are they making a pretense of holding that amount of metal in their vault in case they have to pay someone off so that they can tell that buyer that the metal is already there in their vault and he can just keep it stored there, maybe even at a low rate (how tough is it to store something non-existent!)to entice the buyer.  Then they can put the chump off till a crash at which time he gets nothing or delay him till they can buy the silver somewhere else.

Is this what's likely going on or is there another con/scheme/scam of which the fake silver storage is a part?  Anyone?

@AGnAU2B121pdq - TAKE IT TO THE FORUMS

MODERATOR

You are relatively new here. We don't allow religious discussion on the blog unless Turd specifically asks for it, because it's too controversial. If you want to start a topic on the relation of the markets to the Bible, you are welcome to start it in the forums.

If you continue to post your religious stuff here on the blog, two things are going to happen:

1) The moderators are going to remove your posts

2) If you keep it up, you'll be put on moderation and all your posts will have to be approved before going "live"

So take it to the forums from here on out. Thank you!

I am the moderator, and I have spoken! :-)

11 Secret Service agents put on leave amid prostitution inquiry

By David Nakamura and Ed O’KeefePublished: April 14

The U.S. Secret Service on Saturday placed 11 agents on administrative leave as the agency investigates allegations that the men brought prostitutes to their hotel rooms in Cartagena, Colombia, on Wednesday night and that a dispute ensued with one of the women over payment the following morning.

Secret Service Assistant Director Paul S. Morrissey said the agents had violated the service’s “zero-tolerance policy on personal misconduct” during their trip to prepare for President Obama’s arrival at an international summit this weekend.

“We regret any distraction from the Summit of the Americas this situation has caused,” Morrissey said in a statement

The War . . . Over the U S Dollar

While the petrodollar was created based on ensuring that the producers priced in US dollars, that was at a time when 70% of demand came from 'developed' countries. The new reality is that 'emerging' and 'developing' countries are very close to unseating 'developing' countries as the primary users. What if the buyers (users) begin to dictate the currency that oil is priced in rather than the producers? Turd referenced this article a few weeks ago that goes into greater detail: http://acminc.com/opt-out.

"Silver imports into India, the biggest consumer of the white metal, are likely to decline up to 27 per cent this year on expectations of volatile prices, despite import duty remaining unchanged, the head of the country’s biggest bullion importer said.

Sunil Kashyap, head of Asia at Scotia Mocatta, a unit of Bank of Nova Scotia, said investors in India were averse to steep and volatile changes in prices of silver, which could dent imports. Silver imports are likely to fall to 3,500-4,000 tonnes in 2012, down from 4,800 tonnes imported last year, Kashyap said."

When it does the price of silver will sky rocket because the value of the physical metal will have to very quickly rise to represent its paper value because their will far less ounces of the real stuff than the paper version.

My 2 cents worth..

Well, maybe a penny..

I do not contribute much to this discussion as my pea-brain is miniscule compared to the brain of Warren Buffett, but nevertheless, I do have an opinion, namely:

1. For those of us that think the price of gold  will skyrocket, and I am in that group,  once China opens it's own exchange, are whistling in the dark. China, India, and Russia, are in the gold  buying/storing mode, so it is in their interest to keep gold as low as possible while they are accumulating.  In that regard, actions by JPM and "associates"  play right into their scheme of things.

2. Once all of the above have sufficient gold in their possession, that will be the time gold will skyrocket.  How far?? I do not know, but according to "Another" and "Friend of Another" it will be mind boggling.  It will happen only once, but will be very rewarding for all that are "stackers".  My pea-brain aside, my understanding is, if all of the major players (USA, Europe, China, India, and Russia) raise the price of gold to multiple thousands per oz. then basically the deficits will be wiped out.  I have no idea if that is a right hypothesis, but did read a few articles about it.

3. I am a long time investor, and not a trader, so these daily/weekly fluctuations in the price of the "barbaric metal" do not affect me at all.  If I am right, we will all gain; but if wrong,  I will not wind up in the poorhouse (hopefully).

Predatory?

"Now, the government is looking for ways to take advantage of what Mark Iwry, the Treasury point man on saving and retirement issues, calls "savable moments...surveyed about 650 low- and moderate-income families in the Detroit area who had filed tax returns in 2003 or 2004. About 82% received refunds—either because they had overpaid or because they qualified for the federal Earned Income Credit, a federal cash bonus to low-wage workers that is paid through the IRS. The average refund exceeded $2,000, a significant sum for people who say they have trouble making ends meet...

Half the recipients saved at least some of the refund. "There is a desire to save," Mr. Barr says. "The saving is not for retirement. It's for short-term goals, for financial stability, so if tough times hit, they don't have to go see the payday lender or go to family and friends or stop eating."

Behavioral economists have found that people respond better to a nudge than a simple up-or-down choice...Pushed by the Treasury and outside academics, the IRS has been experimenting with ways to nudge people to save at refund time...Another experiment appears a bit more promising. Two years ago, the IRS began asking taxpayers if they wanted to use some or all of their refund to buy a U.S. savings bond. Last year, about 30,000 people bought $11.5 million in savings bonds. The program is very small, but growing."

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/irs-enlists-tax-day-push-040100446.html

What would they call a private sector financial advisor who specifically targeted the poor in an investment scheme so ill-suited to the short-term, emergency-fund type of savings needs that are referenced? It likely would violate laws. If it doesn't, it would spark an outcry for new laws.

Depressing

I haven't logged on in months. Just checked back to get an email addy from my PM box.

I stared with the Turd from day 1 on the old blog site. I admit, I learned a lot, saw things from new perspectives and it helped me in my mission. Many a great persons have shared their thoughts from which I have no doubt benefited from. I'm grateful for that, indeed.

The "trigger" that made me lose all faith in the mighty Turd as a leader in the movement was when he got his $$$ back from Lind and turned around and bought some calls (or puts, whatever). I thought 'you have to be Fing joking.' Then, as the noise and nonstop nonsense from every angle continued to increase the last straw for me was Sinclair's mindless rambling about the ISDA "event."

If anyone new to this is reading, please take a second and stop and think about who you are and what you're really fighting for. If you want economic and financial freedom, it's a complete waste of time to follow the heard that pisses, moans and cries about the "cartel." You are simply wasting vital energy and you'll be sucked into the deep abyss of nothingness. How do I know? Cause I've been there.

When you see the light and find in your own space that the way to freedom is NOT to try follow the crowd that follows the bogeyman, you are taking IT away from THEM. Why do you thing THEY are getting so desperate? There are sheep on both sides of the fence, never forget. Don't follow anyone. Don't accept anyone's level of reality as your own. Never insist that what you're doing is right and good for you until you've checked your heart and gut.

I also firmly believe that those espoused Principles offer the BEST opportunity & guidelines for the long-term benefit & "as-close-as-possible harmony" of ALL mankind irrespective of nationality or religious beliefs ...

Unfortunately, I have also come to believe in recent decades that the Biggest THREAT to the long-term survival & growth of that Philosophy & Principles is in fact, the American Political & Financial leadership & current-corrupted-system itself, and I despair of the American People ever taking back (before it becomes too late to do so, IF it isn't already) the precious gift given to them by their Forefathers.
