Absolutely ridiculous and comical nonsense. NO ONE should be attempting to trade gold and/or silver futures on the Comex. The WOPRs and The Cartel are completely in charge and every mutterance and headline sends a cascade of HFT orders based solely upon phraseology and syntax. THIS IS MADNESS! In the end, the fiat price of true money is left to shift in the wind, regardless of the underlying fundamentals. Therefore, THE ONLY ONES WITH A CHANCE are the regulars in Andy's Army. EVERYONE ELSE must avoid day trading at all costs. THE ONLY OPTION is to buy physical metal on paper metal dips and TAKE DELIVERY.
Have a nice weekend. TF

Some mock Larry Edelson
But this guy, although he may not have caught the parabola in silver and gold last summer was calling for a severe correction and most impressive was his call not to be sucked into the false rally since the beginning of the year. In his weekly webcasts he admitted in mid to late February that he had indeed been wrong short term but even up to the week before gold had it's $100 fall still maintained that gold and silver would begin a severe correction. At the time he was indeed a lone voice. He stated that silver would find support at around the $30 area but would then drop to the mid 20's and even possibly lower...BUT this would ultimately be the set up for the next massive up leg. So I'm personally keeping a load of cash on the sidelines waiting till around his September timeframe and then going all in! Check him out at uncommonwisdomdaily. He updates every Monday. There's a slogan over here in England "every little helps" nothing wrong in getting as much info as possible, even if it's not initially what you wish to hear. Think long term, after all september and the inevitable May smash, really aren't too far away now.
larrry edelson
but we've already seen 30s and mid 25s(26) so did he predict a double bottom? otherwise according to him we've already bottomed. and timing isn't his strong suit, numbers seem to be. so i would trust the lows more than his timing.
or am i missing something.

"We support the maintenance of a sufficient military to defend the United States against aggression.
The United States should both avoid entangling alliances and abandon its attempts to act as
policeman for the world. We oppose any form of compulsory national service."
that's the position stated in the libertarian party platform.

i believe ron paul's position is similar, and so is mine.
A caution from a forwarded email
I know a Vietnam vet this happened to, at a VA hospital. Unfortunately it happened prior to the time I read this email.
He joked with his doctor about the questions, but it sure as hell sounds like Zero & Co. are working on a backdoor gun owners list.
The email:
Very Important….
This is a retired Police officer with the Texas Highway Patrol………..
If you know veterans and gun owners, please pass this on to them. Be very cautious
about what you say and to whom. ” I am passing this along…there are comments
from two other people I have also been asked if we keep guns in the house. The
nurse just kinda slipped it in along with all the other regular questions. I
told her I refused to answer because it was against the law to ask. Everyone,
whether you have guns or not, should give a neutral answer so they have no idea
who does and who doesn’t.
My doctor asked me if I had guns in my house and also if any were loaded. I, of course, answered yes to both questions. Then he asked why I kept a loaded gun close to my bed. I answered that my son, who is a certified gun instructor and also works for Homeland Security, advised me that an unloaded, locked up gun is no protection against criminal attack.
The government now requires these questions be asked of people on Medicare, and
probably everyone else. Just passing this along for your information: I had to
visit a doctor other than my regular doctor when my doctor was on vacation. One
of the questions on the form I had to fill out was: Do you have any guns in your
house?? My answer was None of your damn business!! So it is out there! It is
either an insurance issue or government intervention. Either way, it is out
there and the second the government gets into your medical records (As they want
to under Obamacare) it will become a major issue and will ultimately result in
lock and load!! Please pass this on to all the other retired guys and gun
owners…
Thanks From a Vietnam Vet and retired Police Officer: I had a doctors
appointment at the local VA clinic yesterday and found out something very
interesting that I would like to pass along. While going through triage before
seeing the doctor, I was asked at the end of the exam, three questions: 1. Did I
feel stressed? 2. Did I feel threatened? 3. Did I feel like doing harm to
someone? The nurse then informed me, that if I had answered yes to any of the
questions, I would have lost my concealed carry permit as it would have gone
into my medical records and the VA would have reported it to Homeland Security.
Looks like they are going after the vets first. Other gun people like retired
law enforcement will probably be next. Then when they go after the civilians,
what argument will they have? Be forewarned and be aware. The Obama
administration has gone on record as considering veterans and gun owners
potential terrorists. Whether you are a gun owner veteran or not, YOU’VE BEEN
WARNED!!!!! If you know veterans and gun owners, please pass this on to them. Be
very cautious about what you say and to whom. _

You're either very young, very liberal or both. You'll definitely "outgrow" one, hopefully both:)
Magpie Thanks
You really need to find a different doctor and one with some common sense. God help us all! Btw I hope your son can find another source of employment soon!
Thursday Spanish bond auction to test confidence.
Worries about Spain's budget troubles and the slow progress of its desperately-needed economic reforms have investors wary of lending to Madrid.
And the thought of Spain not being able to pay its debts is prompting contagion fears for Italy.
EURO CRISIS SIMMERS
New slippage in their(Spain's) finances could unnerve investors further.
After a period of relative calm, financial markets are again starting to fear that the sovereign debt crisis which began in Greece more than two years ago could engulf the far bigger economies of Spain and Italy.
Spain, which spooked markets by raising its budget deficit target for this year, will try to raise funds at a debt auction next Thursday, after its borrowing costs surged at a sale last week.

Socialism
"Regarding socialism, since most of you seem to bash it all the time. You people from the USA have a strange distorted idea of what socialism actually is. I would advise you all to read up on it, starting with the good old Das Kapital."
I would suggest reading Atlas Shrugged immediately after Das Kapital; it's sure to present a slightly different perspective on Socialism/Communism.

I would add George Orwell's "Animal Farm" to the reading list also:)
Copper
Dr. Copper (as it is known) decreased 4% last week over a perceived slow down in growth in China. Do you still think the beat down in silver prices was an isolated event? All of the fast money that drove up the price of the metals early last year has exited the metals and that hot money is now in Apple and other stocks.
And this... If the previous stories were true about the Morgue paying huge extra cash for silver investors not to take delivery of silver on the Crimex, then why wouldn't the hedge funds continue to play that highly profitable game? My belief is that it was a sucker's story to rope in the silver longs as the hedge funds exited their positions. What sucker stories do you still believe?
I will no longer buy gold or silver on dips in price but rather only upon plunges in price. And when I buy from the great unwashed I will be sure to flip the middle finger at KW News for their current B.S. about the bottom being in on PM prices.

It's a big call clinkin k.y. - - - anti American - -
I doubt it - I live in N.Z. and their are heaps of dutch people here. I have never seen any anti - American sentiment here in N.Z. We fought alongside U.S.Troops during the 2nd world war and suffered more losses per capita than any other nation. We do not have an issue with Americans. Since world war 2 the U.S. government have killed who knows - say 20 -30 million men woman and children. Lets for arguments sake say the tally is one thousand. The Dutch have killed maybe a few hundred. In my opinion Zilverieger is not anti - American, he is however anti fascist and anti governmental evil.
Understood SRS
but this is STRANDED coal, not the coal to which you refer. It doesnt need mining and it is 80% of al the known coal seams in the world - at present sat with no hope of being used at any price. Imagine a world where a country the size of say the UK has 50-odd such plants dotted around generating power and syndiesel. None of this is priced into any energy consumption model. it can't be because at the moment the tech is still unpriced by energy analysts despite its evident potential. The shell GTL plant is completely different and much more expensive. I believe the capex on a UGC-CTL plant that I mentioned is around $2bn but can be halved as they build more and improve efficiencies. For a better understanding of UCG potential read the below, explains it far better than i ever could!!!:
http://www.lincenergy.com/data/media_news_articles/relatedreport-02.pdf
Some excerpts:
In targeting inaccessible or poor quality coal, UCG could serve to substantially increase global energy reserves.
In comparison to the current proven world coal reserves of 909 billion tonnes 20, world coal resources have been estimated to lie somewhere around the 6,000 billion tonne mark 82, suggesting that only 15% of the resource is currently accessible.
@Strongsidejedi...Ding Ding Ding
"see thread on gold"...Turd, I think this should be brought to the main board. Lots of serious implications, and it makes sense.
Edit, OK having thought about it:
1. Initial reaction, bearish, Russia selling gold; (Gartman really is a tool, no wonder MSM use him);
2. Recent price action confirms this initial reaction;
3. Why would Russia feel the need to sell to India (geopolitics sure, aid to India, assist Iran, confound the U.S.)...but why not just let India buy on the open market?
4. Conclusion: Russia knows that even a modest purchase of phyzz by India on the open market will boost the gold price significantly...as a long term buyer, not in their interest...yet. (Incidentally, Iran must have read Rickard's "Currency Wars");
5. Long term technicals support this, gold is down but in terms of Median Line Analysis (Andrews Pitchforks) from 2008/9, gold has rallied in the expected zones twice now...
Three dimensional chess now, but with MZM and MO solidly increasing and the hateful mood displayed by some on this board who feel that a bullish opinion should be as good as money in the bank...as a trader I would be vary wary of being short. I note that gold has bounced up off the 10 DMA the last two days...not bearish short term either.
But not good that gold is an open weapon, maybe Russia wants to diffuse this for the time being.
Cali Lawyer or any other lawyers on the board
Have posted this in the Speak but would appreciate the opinion of any lawyers on the board about this - Lien issued against all 12 Federal Reserve Banks

There was just some massive partying going on down in Venezuela last week. That's all.
All the "high" rollers had to cash in a few bricks to afford all the plentiful hookers and blow.
Gold should resume it's uptrend real soon.
SOME F'N EMPIRE
the romans had an empire.....they invaded n occupied n pillaged resources.
the english had an empire........they 'discovered' n occupied n pillaged resources.
the germans n italians TRIED to have an empire......the US [at much cost -$ AND LIVES] threw them back[i got THREE DEAD UNCLES buried in europe.......how many NORWEGIANS are buried here trying to save ME?]........, rebuilt europe with its OWN MONEY.......and kept another EURO-ASIAN country-[USSR] from invading europe for FORTY YEARS.
the chinese tried to have an empire.......they were stifled in korea......tho they won in vietnam.[yes, a very very bad war....show me a good one]
so all these empires n attempts at it by euro-asians....JUST MAYBE THEY ARE THE PROBLEM.
and the US goes n saves nations and races and rebuilds for them-----the EURO-ASIANS trying to take each others resources.....is anyone getting the picture?...........not those with their head in the sand[or up an orifice]
we BUY n PAY for our resources.
looks like the EURO-ASIANS are the bad guys......in fact its OBVIOUS.
SOME F'N EMPIRE the US has.
we're broke trying to be a citizen of the world.
[I AM NOT A CITIZEN OF THE WORLD].
now the public unions[a privileged class patterned after those in socialist euro-asia] and the medical community[now another arm of the govmint] will finish us off.
good luck to the rest of the world........you are on your own.....very soon.
lets see how that works out......it ain't goin to be pretty.
F the world.......you will get what u deserve.
The US goes and saves nations?
When I started reading the first two sentences I thought I knew where you were going, wrong.
The US is the biggest offender.
Shrinkage?
More news on the "incredible shrinking package size" front, at your local grocery store.
Hunt's canned pasta sauces were formerly 26.5 oz (pictured below). My local stores are in mid change as we speak to a new 24 oz size. Same price on the shelf, of course, but if you do the math that works out to a 10.4% price hike on a per ounce basis. Sumbitches. If you hurry, you might still find some of the older, larger cans still on the shelf.
The folks that do the CPI are always discounting actual price hikes for various reasons, quality improvements, etc. What do you think the chances are that they are picking up all these shrinking package sizes? Nil, of course.

A financial solution for all
Shelia Blair, former chief of the FDIC, has penned a WaPo article that you might find interesting as a solution bridging the gap of income inequality, the evils of work, probably a solution to pollution, trade deficits, and the like. Makes sense to me:

is appearing on all the MSM Sunday talk shows today. I'm sure you will want to set your DVR's and not miss a word he has to say. Unfortunately I'll probably be suffering a power outage at my house during his appearances, and it's likely that my battery backup will fail also.
What really happened to those scientists....
