Getting Worn Out

This is a test of our resolve in many ways during these times.

The constant attacks on the price of silver have probably worn us all down a little.  I'm as happy as anyone that the price hasn't been falling for a few days but it's hard to be super pumped about reclaiming 32 when not long ago it was 42 we were talking about.

we all took a break about thinking about the world and PMs for one week. No blogs...no turd postings. everyone just go out and smell the fresh air.  PMs will be hear when we get back in a week or two. everything will be the same or worse. in one year from now will be having similar conversations while nothing changes from the 'trend' perspective. 

Balance in life is everything.

Bobbejaan...caught your Africa comment. Interesting stuff by all. So much to catch up on.

Took a loooong walk last night and was thinking about some of the comments during the day a bit ( particularly shills) and took a good many of you on that walk with me as I sorted the deluge of information and market turbulence, emotions of the market etc. and tried to let it fall off my shoulders and mind a bit. It worked, for me.

However, the walk was so long that I ended up on the couch transfixed to something silly and irrelevant and had a couple laughs and drifted off early to a deep Oden's Sleep.

Somewhere inbetween there a chocolate chip cookie munch fest took place. I woke up with one on a napkin on my chest when I woke up with the TV on at 1:00 a.m..  I had a chuckle at that moment also.

Mission accomplished. Stress relief did happen.

And to think, none of you knew you went for a walk with me.

We're all in this together. Not financially of course, but in spirit and hope.

You provide a great service, Turd. I've been reading this blog since day 1 and have learned so much. You and your readers have been instrumental in helping me prepare for what's coming. Sit back, get refreshed and keep up the fight, thousands of us have your back!!

That we may be looking at this all wrong.....

Those in power are just human beings, the same as you and I, fearful of the changes at hand, reacting out of fear to save what they have been taught/worked to create. 

We must approach these people in control with respect, as a human beings, even if they do not show the same for others, for they are only acting out of their own personal awareness, which happens to be one many of us may not see/wish to acknowledge due to our personal ego filled with emotion and our own fear, instead of empathy and understanding for all people..... the only way peace will ever come....

Divide and Conquer works on a greater macro level.... as in if the people who are controlled and the people who control the masses through creation of the modern day society and industries, pin against one another.... man will blow itself up.  We need to have a message of love and understanding, even for those who wish to not offer the same back to us.

Imagine you were born into a bloodline family of power, as a child you had no say in your destiny and you were born within, and the awareness you were made of was never one of love and understanding.......

I think that October may be the crash.... and physical PM's takeoff, and complete currency control/price controls on all markets.  I also think the coming of the internet censorship is at hand.  We may be in the last weeks/days of freedom in its current form. Don't take anything for granted, ever.  Embrace each moment and the challenges/opportunities it offers.

Be not afraid, humanity has already won.  We just need to convince the kings that they must reconsider.

I will go into more thought, as I will be trying to formulate my understandings.....

The stock market is ~25% percent higher than its correlated basket of commodities/currencies.... as if being held up waiting to crash in an epic fashion, to roll out the next stages.......

There may be something too this!

We cannot speak with hatred towards other human beings, for that only empowers the negative energy at hand..... we must speak with understanding, respect, clarity, calmness, love, and the willingness to embrace the future, no matter what challenges it offers.

I would really love to know what precipitates the action sometime and what is taking place and by whom because something is being telegraphed to someone who is waiting for it.

We know it's obvious what's taking place after 8:00 a.m. but that was a pretty unique and steep price swing within 20 minutes or so.

@DPH - AMEN! When trading like that shows up, you either have to think - Stop the rise! or HFT trigger. And it's also stuff like that which makes one stop posting for a while until you have even a reasonable thought about what's going on.

And right now, I don't have one, so I'll just keep quiet and read.

If you're getting worn out maybe you can get a guest host in once in a while to make the daily blog post, to give you a little breathing room, let you take a little rest. I've seen a good handful of users here who could probably act as a quality guest host for a couple days without causing the place to fall over :)

It's because I've been watching it consistently every 5 minutes.   When I turn off the computer and stop looking for a long period of time then come back, it's always higher.  Never fails!   And, there ya have it....

So, I was feeling pretty burned out and exhausted myself.

I took the wife and went on a Canadian trip.

I left the country via Blaine and went to Vancouver.  It was great fun.

There's no sign of recession in Vancouver.  British Columbia seems to be doing quite well.

The roads are junky compared to ours, but the public transportation is much better than ours too.

I never heard one car horn.  Drivers in Vancouver wait for pedestrians and the courtesy is remarkable compared to the US side.  I saw very few people begging on the street (really none).  No druggies on the street hallucinating and without showers.  The people were well attired.  The women were having a fashion show and the wife was really wanting new boots.  I was looking for the local Yukon gold dealers :)

(Sorry to the East Coasters, I'm on the West Coast where public transportation is pretty non-existant).

Anyways, coming back from Canada, my car got sniffed by a border control dog.  The US border agent at the Peace Park entry asked us questions (where you going, where you coming from, how long were you out of the country, what did you do out of the country, do you have anything you bought, what did you buy, where is it, what do you have in the car, what do you plan on doing over the next few days, where's your passport, where do you live, etc etc).  I didn't have the nerve to ask him what the declaration rules were for gold or silver coming over the border.  It's okay as we didn't buy anything other than poutins and burgers which were better than in the US also.

When we eventually got to the Seattle-Tacoma Airport, we found that TSA forces everyone through body scanners and the sheeple were all willingly being irradiated.  The TSA guy tried to force us through, but I object to radiation for other reasons and need to avoid it all.  I asked for us to be scanned and to go through the regular side.  They object and start yelling "NEED AN OFFICER NOW!"  I roll my eyes.  I tell the TSA guy that in LA, you can pick and I want to just walk through the regular.  He says they scan everyone.   He says I have to get a pat-down.  I said, okay shrug.

Mind you, there were no raised voices on our side and only a request to not be irradiated.

A young TSA guy somes out and starts barking questions at me (very rudely) "WHERE ARE YOUR BAGS!?!"

I said, "All of these (five trays on their sticking conveyor belt)."

"WHICH ONES ARE YOUR BAGS?!"

"You having hearing problems mister?  I said "all of these"."

"WE DON"T PLAY GAMES HERE IN SEATTLE"

I look funny at the TSA guy.  "I'm not playing games."

"STAND OVER HERE!"

I look funny at the TSA guy.  "why?"

"YOU HAVE TO BE WIPED and YOU HAVE TO BE PATTED DOWN"

"DO YOU HAVE ANY MEDICAL CONDITIONS?"

"yes"

"YES?"

"yes."

"DO YOU HAVE ANY AREAS WHERE YOU HAVE PAIN"

"yes"

"WHERE"

"Back, neck, head...car accidents you know."

TSA guy goes on about how he needs to pat down and what he's going to do.

"Understood, but I object to this.  More over, if you screw my back up, I'm going to hold you accountable"

"I WILL DO IT VERY SOFTLY"

TSA guy goes on to explain that the radiation exposure "is only that of 2 minutes in the air".

I'm thinking gee...this TSA guy is an expert in radiation exposure, medicine, human physiology, and border control?

Here I thought I was an expert with two higher degrees from a major university, 20 years of experience in science, and gee...what should I say to this idiot?

"I've had many medical scans and so has my wife.  I don't need any more"

"Yeah, well, what happened to your other aisles and wands?"

"WE DON'T DO THAT FUNNY STUFF UP HERE."

TSA guy proceeds to probe every corner of my pants, IN my underwear, and pats every inch of my body in what is in my opinion an unprovoked criminal act of unlawful non-consentual search, seizure, and battery.

I'd like to hold the TSA for criminal violation of law.

What was worse was watching them do this to my wife.

Turd thanks for everything you do for us Turdites. There is not enough we can do to thank you for what you have provided us with. This is a close community with many brilliant people all for free. Take some time off! It is the best thing you can do sometimes.

On another note, I was sitting in one of my Finance classes yesterday and the teacher opened up the PowerPoint presentation and the last bullet point on the first slide said "Gold vs. stocks". I thought to myself here comes another professor trashing PM's and advocating stocks. He was about to skip over it and go to the next slide when someone said why does it say "gold vs. stocks" up there? He said that gold does not have a real value because there is no way to measure the value of it and it does not pay a dividend. Then he went on talking about how people buy gold when it has ran up an exponential amount and that was the wrong thing to do. Then he asked the class why do people invest in gold if it doesn't pay a dividend? I was surprised that someone else in class had a response to it about gold being an inflation hedge or the unlimited money printing our country is doing to devalue the dollar. Are they waking up?

I could see a dynamic duo of TomL and Shill Tom with the charts and Shill with the news.

Ask some people you trust to contribute as guest bloggers so you can take some time off, and TF Metals Report will still have quality updates on the condition of the metals markets.

I travel quite frequently and altho some TSA agents are decent, I am a strong advocate of getting rid of them altogether. Airports would be much better off hiring private contracting security companies. The Federal government has no right to grope me or my girlfriend when traveling. I've been through the full body scanners a few times and the more I learn about them the more I wish I hadn't gone through. The Fed can't do anything right. Let the airports choose who to hire to provide security measures. The Government needs to get its fat fingers out of our lives.
